Huskie Stadium Hosting MACC
I know this has been brought up before, but how awesome would it have been for Huskie Stadium to be hosting this game on Friday? Would have been wild.

It's true, but the way they used to do it...who would have hosted? Us or Kent St.?

With so much on the line, I'm glad the game is at a neutral site. It's fair to both teams. I'd hate to be playing on the road with so much at stake.

After ending the bid process, whereas Marshall hosted every year, it was alternated between West and East winner. Under that scenario, Kent would have been the host this year as the East winner.

I love the idea of home played MACCs. It may be too damn cold though around the MAC schools.

I like the current structure of playing at a neutral site. Ford Field or Indy is fine. However, Indy is committed to the B1G.

The only real problem I have with it is that if you win...there's a good chance you go back to Detroit for your bowl game.

That, and our home attendance has been poor recently. With typical late November/early December weather, I could see us drawing only 16,000-18,000.

So what about the 12,000 fans in attendance in Detroit?

I would like to see it go back to MAC sites. 25,000+ in a MAC stadium looks better for the conference than 10,000 in an NFL stadium. Offer the road team half the tickets. Home team, road team and MAC get a portion of the ticket sales. I would think the MAC would make more money than having the game in Detroit. For the life of me I can't figure out why it's in Detroit. I'm sure it somehow comes down to money.

The home team should be decided with some or all of the following criteria:
1. Highest in BCS
2. Highest in Coaches
3. Highest in AP Poll
4. Best MAC Record
5. Head-to-Head
6. Best overall record
7. Coin flip

Don't forget Marathon is the sponsor of the MACC in Detroit. They might not want to continue if the game were at campus sites.

Under the old rules, I believe the Huskies would have hosted last year and traveled to Kent this year.

Not only that but imagine the lack of turnout when it is 3 degrees outside.. Or given how NIU travels, how empty a stadium would be if it was held away.

Imagine that comeback and Sims' FG in a jam packed Huskie Stadium last year. That would have been something else.

Or this year if NIU beats Kent to be right there in the Orange Bowl possibility. You would have jubilation all over Huskie stadium

Would've been a completely different game though at HS. Let's say I do ignore that HS and homefield make it a completely different game to be honest he probably misses with DeKalb wind and we go to OT. But do not be a complete d-bag and say he hits it, place would have erupted, field storm for sure.
