RE: Hartwell, Blakeney look to evaluate program, make tweaks where needed
Quote:“I like this coaching staff,” Blakeney said. “I think we have to make some adjustments and recruit hard to get back to where we want to be and that’s at the top of the conference.”
Tweaking? How about bulldozing!?

This is exactly what I feared - Blakeney not taking responsibility for the defensive disaster (lack of discipline, scheming, adjustments) that is now Troy football and not holding himself or his coaches responsible for the fall.

He has been trying to figure it out for at least two seasons, to no avail. What makes anyone think that with no major shake-up, anything will get figured out in this off-season?

And now they want to blame it on facilities and are upgrading the end zone building so it costs significantly more and take longer to build?

What's the next story - the firing of a grad assistant?!

I am very disappointed.

If I don't see a complete defensive staff overhaul, then Blakeney has deteriorated as a coach more in my eyes than I ever thought possible.

You guys should have never named your field after him. Now you can't fire him.

No but if the tradition of naming their stadium/field holds, it opens up Blakeney for bankruptcy, IRS investigations, and criminal charges...

Troy is going the way of North Texas and I love it. Any good Alabama high school coaches to take the reigns of the program?

Appears that 5-7 is a good season for Troy based on 2011 & 2012.
Talk your trash, but lately your team sure hasn't backed you up on the field. Heck, you've got less total wins that UNT in the past 2 seasons.03-lmfao

I don't see why there is any arguments here. Troy and UNT have both sucked the past 2 years so who really gives a shat. Fighting about it is like arguing over who is the tallest midget. Good luck in cusa, don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out.

And the Muts are only .500 against use in the two losing seasons. They are sooooo awsome. And I forgot what they record has been against us since 2006. Didn't,t we whizz on their little parade in 2006. Oh I bet that still stings. MUTS

Blakeny has spent more time breaking down the other teams in the conference lately than he has his own.
