Coaching Question
The Philly Eagles have struggled on offense as of late. Watching them on MNF right now, and they used a Direct snap to the RB (with Foles pretending the snap went over his head) on the 2nd play of the game.

My question is (PEOPLE please weigh in) Isn't that a little too soon to pull out those gadget plays. I mean, yes, they got a first down, but i would think that you would want to at least try to show some faith in your base offense working before pulling those out.

Thoughts?

RE: Coaching Question
I ran that play several times this year when I had a hurt qb that could not run. Only works twice at best. Must not have much confidence in the young guy. He did make alot of bad decisions at arizona. Screens and short crossing routes are always good starter get in rhythm type plays but that kid is a gun slinger and they must be afraid of that. I watched him alot in college. Arizona was always the late game on foxsports detroit?...

RE: Coaching Question
I hear you.

Why run that in their own zone? It just seems to me like, if they have that in the game plan, why run it when theres such a small reward?
