Is it fair that Notre Dame
as an independent, can schedule their way to a national championship?

No conference playoff game sucks for anyone else who has to play them.

The Big XII is in the same boat as ND. The Big 10 and Pac 12 were in the same boat until very recently. Those two conferences and the SEC chose to play conference championship games because they are greedy. Nobody made them do it. F them.

Anybody who complains about ND's schedule this year just hates ND.

14th toughest schedule in the nation per the NCAA. Alabama, 29th. They've also NEVER played an FCS school.

Overtime games against teams with 4-5 loses. 12 men on the field ignored on last play in OT. Phantom pass interference penalty against Pitt.....Please.....

They only played 3 teams that finished with losing records.

So the winner of AL or GA will have victories over 2 top 5 opponents on the road/neutral sites. And while these teams beat the crap outta each other, ND watchs and rests and puts in new wrinkles in their schemes for the BCS championship game.

ND hasn't played a top 10 team. Don't play the Stanford card....yawn. ND hasn't played any really bad teams. But they haven't played any really good teams either.

Stanford is a top 10 team and possible P12 champ.

Count me as a Notre Dame hater but they deserve to be in the championship game. To say different just shows ignorance. Bama will beat them senseless however.

Every team that wins a national championship gets lucky along the way. Check out how lucky UT was in 1998. They were gifted 3 or 4 games along the way. I'd rather be lucky than good.

Nebraska was a NC because of getting 5 downs against Mizzou.

Colorado won a NC because of a phantom call against ND in the Orange Bowl.

I can go on and on.

Going into the season, their schedule was ranked as the toughest in the nation. You're criticizing them for making this schedule?
