The stats show that the Bobcats are an extremely good three point shooting team but average in rebounding. It appears their excellent point guard runs the show. Joe and Geron have a strong challenge. GTG!

Why do we keep having these early starts? I'll end up missing all but the last few minutes.

Ohio has 3 guards that start and only 2 players in their 8 man rotation that are taller than 6'5". That's one of the reasons for poor rebounding.
Last year they lost 8 games. 6 of those losses were on the road. One was on a neutral court. The other was at home to Robert Morris. This is only their 2nd road game of the year. The last one they lost to Robert Morris in front of 1,100 fans.

Be really interesting to see how those guard matchups look in the first 10 minutes of the game --- it might decide the result.

RE: ***Official Memphis vs Ohio Game Thread***
That picture of Aliecia usually makes its way to other school's board... wonder if she knows it.
Everyone is familiar with DJ Cooper, it seems, so here's a look at some of the other players. The group of three seniors (Cooper, Baltic, Keely) has been playing together and mostly starting out of the gate, so they've logged ~100 games together. Don't see too many teams like that in college these days.
Walter Offutt is the other senior on the team, a transfer from Ohio State. He's DJ's running mate and and complements him well. Offutt is the defensive heart of the team and a very gritty, determined player. He's not afraid of anyone or any moment. His downsides are he can have trouble finishing at the rim, his three-point shot is suspect if he doesn't step into it, and he fouls a lot. But he doesn't take bad shots. Ohio wants him on the floor to have a better shot at winning.
Ivo Baltic is a Euro-style forward who is comfortable stepping out and taking jumpers. He frustrates fans of both sides, Ohio fans because he simply will not stop shooting fadeaways and opposing fans because he makes a decent amount of them. He's shown an improved three this year and has always had a good first step and ability to get to the rim, but he rarely uses it. Defensively, he's passable at best. Has yet to take a free throw attempt this season.
Reggie Keely is the team's lone low post player. He can get frustrated, but when his mind is right, he's very good at creating space and seals in the paint and has a good touch on his shot. A better free throw shooter than you'd think.
Jon Smith is a long and lean forward. No scoring ability outside two feet, but he can dunk very well and get his share of putbacks. The team's best rebounder and shot blocker, he's very athletic and runs the floor well, especially on defense. Stronger than he looks.
Nick Kellogg is the team's most improved player. He's the best shooter from deep and has shown the ability to put the ball on the floor and get to the rack. Above average defensively.
Ricardo Johnson is an excellent on-ball defender. He can disappear on offense, but he has a knack for being at the right place at the right time to make a play. Has a fantastic throwback flat top.
Travis Wilkins is a three-point specialist with a high basketball IQ. Knows exactly where to be on defense.
TJ Hall has been dealing with niggling knee issues, but he's very athletic and has improved his shot greatly since the beginning of last season. He's that bench player who knows what the team needs and goes out and does it.
Stevie Taylor is the backup point guard. Small and energetic, he's fast. That's about it. Too small to be useful at defending the ball and gets caught out of position off the ball. Afraid to do anything on offense.

Nice breakdown.
My only disagreement is on Stevie Taylor. He has shown the willingness to take (and make) some big shots. Mainly 3's...

5-19 from the floor this year. 3-8 from three and that was after his best game of the year at Bobby Mo.
