And TCU has 8,000 students.... look at how they're doing.
UCF, USF, and FIU have 60,000+, they aren't really setting the college football world on fire.

While I'd be against JU joning the SBC, talking about the student pop isn't a reason why or why not for a school to be added.

Apples to kumquats. TCU has been playing football for over 100 years and while 8,000 is still small, at 3,200 you're talking less than half. They'd be the smallest FBS school, it just doesn't seem remotely feasible.

We should try and get a bowl game there. Though we might want to advise traveling fans to hire their own body guards...the cops probably are not your friend.

RE: Realignment
Oilers and Cowboys used to play a preseason game yearly in Mexico City. Was always a sellout.

Easy man. This isn't even our conference yet. Take the moment to educate a fellow fan rather than laugh at him like a *******.

To answer the man's question. Jacksonville and North Florida have actually been thrown out there as possible Olympic sports additions (mostly wild message board speculation) to counterbalance Arkansas-Little Rock and Texas-Arlington in the West. It's a theory. But since Jacksonville U in a non-scholarship football team (ala Ivy, Patriot League), it's not a serious candidate for anything more than that. The Sun Belt is already a large conference (10 football, 12 bball); if it were to add 2 more football schools AND add two more Olympic schools on the East Coast, it would be a bloated 16 team conference. Without any viable football programs in Jacksonville, it mitigates any potential gain the conference can gain.

Thank you for answering my question. I really appreciate that.

It's NOT going to happen, so don't get so excited. Anyone can throw out a school name that has a campus and is not some online "higher educatioin" website. How about University of Mobile, Faulkner University, Pensacola Christian College, AU-Montgomery, etc., etc.? Makes absolutely no sense at all to even mention JU. Are you so bored with nothing to do in your life that you have to make up this sort of crap to post on a messageboard? Pitiful.
