The Lady Monarchs' upcoming three games are all at home: Vs. Cal, Vs. Dartmouth, and Vs. NC Central. The Cal game is televised, and rightly so. The Golden Bears are currently 3-0...assuming they win their game against Eastern Washington on the 23rd they will be 4-0, nationally ranked at #11, and positioned at or near the top of the PAC-12 when they travel to the TED. This is a big game for the Lady Monarchs, who are currently 4-0 but have yet to face a "national" opponent. Barefoot's squad looks to be a much-improved one this season, and the Cal game will be a nationally-televised means of measuring their progress.

If you want positive news off the basketball court, this is it. If you've ever wanted to support the Lady Monarchs, now is the time.

This is going to be a good game, and will be very telling of LM progress at the national level.

Where are the Lady Monarchs playing these days? Folkes-Stevens? Foreman? The turnaround has been dramatic and it's refreshing to see our ladies playing so well.

Can I trade in my men's tickets?

I will be the first to admit, I wasn't entirely sold on Barefoot being the right hire as she has very little big time experience and didn't even really dominate at Elon, but right now she is just kicking arse and taking names.

Hopefully when we get rid of Blaine, this is the path we follow.

A young energetic coach with some local ties who plays uptempo basketball and can bring in big time recruits who want to play at an awesome University in an exciting style of play.

Congrats to Coach Barefoot and good job with making the right hire Wood! A man can admit when he is wrong.

I will never admit to being wrong about Taylor, if anything, I'm even more sure now than I have ever been that he is not the guy who will take ODU to that "next level" that school's like Gonzaga, Butler, VCU, GMU, Murray State and a few others have all made it too.

They all, with perhaps the exception of Butler, play a very different style than what ODU plays. Coincidence? I think not.

Barefoot's exciting style of play is going to galvanize lady Monarch's basketball. Hell, I might actually go and check out a few of their games this year (especially the one against Delaware) which I haven't done in quite some time because it sure beats the hell out of watching the men play right now.

Barefoot is doing a great job and the program seems to be going in a good direction.

Cal blew out Eastern Washington in the second half and now the Golden Bears are officially 4-0. Win or lose, this game is valuable experience against top-tier competition for the Lady Monarchs. It will be interesting to see how they hold up against one of the best teams in nation.

I'm not expecting a win but i hope we can keep it close and scare them a bit.
