More thoughts on the Milw game
Sometimes everything comes together just like it should. We know little about the roles of assistant coaches. I wish I knew more - both within games and between games. However, whoever did the scouting and drew up the game plan for Milwaukee got it right on the nose. The second thing is that the team evidently bought into it and executed it very well. That is the way it is supposed to work.

That was just a good job of coaching all the way around. It was obvious during the Miss State game that this team was disjointed and disorganized and probably demoralized a great deal after it was over. But the staff got them focused and somehow got back their confidence, and they played one of the better non-conference games during my tenure as a fan.

It was a good game, but more better than our efforts against Creighton a couple of years ago..? Nah.

Probably not, but I getting the kids to buy in and be ready to go was a plus. If not, and we lose 4 games in a row then you got kids folding up camp and the whole season is a bust.

Seemed to me UWM very one-dimensional. Tons of outside shots with little effort under the basket. We are built for this kind of opponent.

That and the win over Souther Illinois a few years back were the best non-con games I have seen.
