That would be my guess.

Accusing the coaching staff of playing a kid that is injured, not hurt, beyond what is being disclosed isn't a smart thing to do.

Quote:"I wanted Austin to feel that pain."

I bet the blue chip QBs will be lining up to play here after that one.

It seems pretty clear to me that McGee sees Brown as the QB of the future, sees Perry as ill-fitted to his system, and doesn't want any QB controversy heading into the offseason. If he put Perry in and JP led us to a win, he'd have exactly that.

Building for the future is great, but doesn't usually work out so well if you lose fans and players in the process.

Why are we paying him a salary? You guys have it all figured out.

So great! What are we going to now that we have a stupid coach?

Keeping Austin Brown in the game was stupid, risking further injury. As well as, worrying about his progress through the offseason into next season. Winning games should be on his mind. Especially when he said he thinks we can win now. There's no doubt in my mind that JP may have been able to lead us to a victory over memphis, ECU, and tulsa. Simply because he throws the ball away and he has mobility. It may take til AB's junior year for him to be able to win ball games consistently. Why punish the team, the fans, and AB because you want to take credit for developing a Davey O'Brien award winner instead of winning ball games now? Thats what it looks like to me.

I think, though, that what HCGM was doing was understood and registered a couple of games ago and maybe JP should be playing.

I believe that being a son of a successful coach, playing qb at a high level, and years of coaching qbs, qualifies Coach McGee to his job better than any of us can. It easy to sit in the stands and second guess game day decisions but the truth of the matter is Coach McGee see these guys everyday in practice and knows what it takes to get this team where he wants it to be. Sometimes you have to take steps backwards in order to progress forward. If AB is the qb of the future then he needs to go through these types of games, if experience is the best teacher, then what does pulling him teach him? As long as time are good, you are the man, but as soon as you struggle, you will get yanked? Is it better for him to learn these lessons now when we have a young and inexperienced team with no expectations or when the converse is true? I believe by the time this team is ready to be the type of team that we all can be proud of, AB needs to be battle tested and battle scares are a part of it. A rookie coach will make rookie mistakes but we aren't a fan base that has had enough success in football to tell a coach how to run his program. I don't believe any of us wants this team to win more than Coach McGee and I am willing to sacrifice a win now to get more wins later, its' part of the progression of a program.

Stupid stuffs from this coach
RTR on his tweeter account ...the worst ever ,,,
"We got a lot of talents of his team "
"We got the facility to win CUSA "
Keep Brown during the game despite being hurt and inefficient
his comment about he know nothing how special is the game for UAB fans
He is young and he got a lot too learn ,,,,he is a project ,,,the nba got a tons of thoses every year ,,,and if they dont sign a major contract ,,,they are gone very early
I hope next year ...will be better

Prediction
Brown will not be the starting qb after game 2 next year
