Yes I miss them. I think that quality competition is actually good, instead of hoping all the good teams will leave and we might get a few more wins in a more crappy conference.

Absolutely, with a program like Belmont, it pushes the others to catch up. Belmont was good for the ASun. Would the SEC be better without Kentucky, tha ACC without Duke or Carolina? Question here, where does this leave ETSU? Belmont leaves and ETSU doesn't step up, but, instead, falls down among a bunch of glorified Division II schools, several of which did not even exist when ETSU started playing DI ball. Even Belmont did not start DI ball until at least 35 years after ETSU. If you're waiting for the good schools to leave your conference in order to, by default, "improve" your program, then you got a serious problem. Someone on here pointed out that Mullins was glad to see Belmont gone; and he is still the ETSU AD.

Byrd and Belmont has it figured it out. I never thought I'd say this but I think Byrd is a better coach than McKillop at Davidson. I'm envious of both coaches but if I had to pick one right now I think I would go with Byrd.

And how good is the OVC? Murray State almost won the Charleston classic last night beating Auburn and St. Johns to get the finals and just barely losing to Colorado in the finals. I know there is a lot of discussion between the A-Sun and Socon, well the OVC has them both beat and for whatever reason we turned the OVC down a few years ago.

I don't know if the double-post of "THINKING???" was intentional or not, but it makes for a great effect. Almost made me do a laughing spit-take. I can hear that in my head similar to Jim Mora's "PLAYOFFS?!" speech.

RE: belmont beat stanford
How many more bad decisions can we afford to make? We could easily be playing Murray State twice a year right now but we turned it down to play UNF twice a year.

I may be jumping ahead of myself right now because I know it's still VERY early but the way Murray State and Belmont have started the season I could almost see the OVC having a shot at two teams in the NCAA. I know the chance of that happening is small but seriously, the OVC is looking good and it makes me sick that we turned them down.

Meanwhile, in the A-SUN....... we have 5 D1 wins as a conference, over 2 weeks and 40+ games into the season.... and Mercer, the so called "class of the ASUN" Put up 36 points..... 36! In a matchup with IL-C (who??) the other night, and has yet to beat a D1 opponent. This truly is some next level basketball, thank you Dave!!!!

I have emailed the Athletic Task Force three times and have highlighted this basketball promise not kept each time -- (was nice and civil in my comments)
