Week 13 games
TROY @ MTSU...Battle for the palladium. SBC game of the week. 6 years in a row TROY has owned MTSU. This game is huge for BOTH schools. TROY trying to get to a bowl and MTSU trying to win the SBC. MTSU may want it a little more due to the fact that they have not beaten us since the 2005 season. Regardless it will be high scoring in the 30s or 40s

ULM @ FIU.... FIU is just not good....42-17

USA @ UL...Closer than most will think. could be upset 20-17

UNT @ WKU...a Shocker. UNT has nothing to lose. 28-24

Yes, Troy wins this one. This works out best for the Belt by adding one more bowl-bound team.

I still cant decide if its better for ASU for MTSU to win or lose Saturday. I understand we get a guaranteed share of the league title with a Troy win, but part of me wants to be able to bill the game as the Sun Belt Conference Championship Game.

Conference be damned...MT needs this win, nevermind the fact that a Troy win doesn't equal another bowl bound team, your Trojans may end up bowling, but I'll be beyond shocked if we get six teams bowling.

Unfortunately I agree with you though, Troy wins on Saturday.

They're pulling for their best interest. A Blue Raider win knocks them out of the title race.

We get 6 teams bowling thats a LOT of money for the conference. All money made with bowls are shared with everyone. Even the teams that dont make the bowls.

Oh yeah, it would definitely be a boon for the conference, but then so would four bowl bids. I'm just trying to temper expectations. We should get four, five is certainly possible, six...while not out of the question is probably pushing it.

We are just going by what Benson and Hawkins said....They say a 6-6 Troy team will more than likely be bowling.

Still doesn't mean we end up with six teams bowling. Western may be the odd man out again.

We will see. But I Think if Troy is 6-6 and WKU is 6-6 or 7-5 a Bowl may Pick Troy over them because of attendance and our Bowl history.

RE: Week 13 games
There is absolutely no guarantee that there will be four at large slots for Sun Belt teams available. ULM/WKU fans should be MT fans this week if they know what's good for them.

Yes, Troy will probably get a bowl game based on their proximity to many of the potentially available bowls, but a Troy win doesn't guarantee the conference anything more than an extra eligible team.

I'm really not even sure what we're talking about anymore. My point all along has been that Troy would become our sixth bowl eligible team with a win on Saturday, Troy would also likely be bowling, but just because Troy is the sixth eligible school and goes bowling doesn't mean that the other five eligible schools all go bowling. Three is the nowt we've ever had, so you'll have to excuse me if I'm not sold on the idea of us doubling that number.

I think ULM and WKU fans would do better rooting against several of the 1 win short teams nationally. I understand Troy is one of those, but they could do a lot better making sure that Wake doesnt beat Vandy for example.

exactly, this is going to be like musical chairs, there won't be a seat for one when the music stops...

five or six teams bowling, I really doubt the bowls and the ticket guarantees that Sun Belt teams will be involved with, mean much if any money. I'd just be pleased with a break even result conference wide...
