I had hoped he would be further along this year. And he definitely is no offensive force. However, he has five blocks on the year, and that inside presence is one of the main things we need from him. I figure there will be lots of PT at the 5 for others because he will not stay out of foul trouble. He reminds me a lot of Too Tall. Lots of natural talent. And, he is only three games into his sophomore season. And the blurb on him was that he was raw offensively, so we got what was advertised.

Too Tall didn't really "blossom" until he was a 5th year senior. A skilled, developed, 6'10" center would be very unlikely to sign with UALR. I was hoping to see more improvement in Javes at this point. Hopefully, he will work hard with Joe in practice and we will see him improve as the season progresses.

I haven't given up on him. But it's looking like it will take another year or two for the light to really come on.
