Getting Crushed
Getting Crushed

I don’t think anyone should be surprised that we were crushed in the 2 road games. Now, I thought we would beat Tech but I am not in shock that we got crushed in 18 and 40 point losses.

So, what is the difference in this year’s team and last year’s?

Last year we lead Kentucky until a little ways into the 2nd half and they won the whole thing. Ole Miss will be looking to get the final 4 this year too, of the NIT.

So, why were we beaten like a Harp Seal on the ice 2 times in the last couple of days?

Surprise, PG play, sure the new PG’s have scored but Williams was a ball hawking, one man press, run the offense, and then create a shot if things when to hell. We don’t have that yet in this group. Now saying we will not but it is going to take some time.

WN is just a large spot up shooter that needs others to make the defense react before he can get an open look off.

Jeaves has to become a low post scorer, or some or someone has to.

We are at the stage of the season that all Shield’s teams go through, which is they can’t run the sets yet and then they hit the perfect storm of two teams that were able force a ton of turnovers and not let our guys find a rhythm.

I will work through what we have coming on Monday with Milwaukee in a separate post.
