Just no match for Ole Miss talent-wise. We opened with a terrible team that had me believe we were much better than we are. Monday's game with Wisconsin-Milwaukee should be telling. That is a team that we should be fairly close to in talent. Will be interesting to see how we matchup Monday night.

We won't be a talent match with most Big Six schools. Especially with freshmen. An SEC senior will teach a SBC freshman how the game is played.

Ole Miss looks really, really good to me. Looks like they are simply "playing" with us like they would an NAIA team. But like always they'll be a middle of the pack SEC team, NCAA bubble, but probably end up in the NIT again.

That is a pretty good analogy. We don't belong on the court with them.

This is a pretty terrible offensive team.

They sure can block a lot of shots

Well, we are not a very good defensive team, either.

What bothers me is that we seem to be regressing.

I didn't get to hear the game until the last few minutes. We were behind 84-46 when I tuned in. I couldn't believe it was that bad. And in the last few minutes it seemed like we shot around 20 times and made 2. Since I didn't hear the majority of the game, I don't know who did what. I know Gillon was high point man with around 14 I believe, and James White had 7 or 8. Where was Will? And others. I'm still a long way from being pessimistic because we start this way every darn season, and usually get better, although not in all cases. I really thought with our large frontline we might be more competitive with some better teams, but it looks like that might be a false premise. Monday night will be a fairer test of where we are against teams of our caliber. If we lose convincingly Monday, then I might begin to worry a little more.

He was either mad at the refs, or mad at the team, or both.

Just not many bright spots. Very, very ugly. White had two blocks. Isler had 7 rebounds.

I am guessing that the post game "discussion" was vigorous, to say the least.

Ole Miss had 10 block shots. They set the pace early on those blocks. They were amazing blocks where I felt we had an open look but they just blocked them before they reached the arc. After that it seemed so many of our shots were rushed in order to avoid the block.

This team just cannot shoot so far. That has to be corrected immediately.

Interesting that several of the reserves got major minutes. Hope it helps on down the line. Osse, Isler, White and Gillon all had better stats then the starters. Even Billings had 4 rebounds.

Also that Isler, Osse, Stetson and White among them had 8 offensive rebounds.
