I remember Floyd benching Dante Culpepper for jacking up a three in the first game he coached against Pacific.

These guys are afraid to take shots because Floyd will bench them if they don't do it within the offense.

I wouldn't call it hatred. I actually supported the guy until h ruined one of the best teams UTEP ever had.

I then quickly saw throughout the season that his coaching style has not changed from the philosophies of Don Haskins in the 80's.

Will he have some success? Of course.

I just don't like the direction that UTEP took in this case.

I preferred what they were doing before, hiring young and hungry coaches that bring good recruits and exciting basketball.

Coach Floyd is bringing better recruits than Barbee and Gillispie combined.

Which one's are those because I only know of one that is considered great but hasn't set foot on a college court yet.

I remember John Bomba was supposed to be a great recruit too.

#21 recruiting class in the nation. What other UTEP coach done that?
