not to worry, here comes Anton!
We might lose to UNCW......it's a distinct possibility.
I would definitely take UNCW's frontcourt. Rendleman and Ced Williams. Sadly. Can we pioneer the first trade in NCAA history? Painter, Wright, and a player to be named later for those two? Maybe cash considerations?
Unfortunately we can't trade them GPA because most likely, with Pimentel, Key and Mitchell all having left in the last year, we will be on academic probation soon too.
Hooray Blaine's recruiting!
Dont forget Hicks and the kid from UNCG that never played a game.

I'd trade coaches with Norfolk State RIGHT NOW.....how sad is that?
I have to disagree, Palmore and Bacote look good, they'd look even better if ODU had a front court that you actually had to respect. Ross has looked pretty good considering he has one hand. Batten is a perfect 6th man.

Oh right....how could I forget them? Let's just hope they graduated wherever they ended up.
Ballgame. Nick Wright......stay in Cleveland.....no seriously.......I heard the Cavaliers needed some help.

Batten and Palmire back on the bench. Jesus Christ Blaine Taylor sucks. Gotta be point shaving. That is the only explaination for this coaching.

What have you seen from Bacote that looks good? He keeps dribbling it off his foot......we haven't even played a decent team yet!!! Wait until we play VCU and some real guards until you start saying this kid is good. He's gonna get eaten alive.
Palmore is the only freshman that looks good to me thus far. Bacote has no outside shot whatsoever. And he isn't strong with the basketball at all and is a pretty poor defender. Not sure what others are seeing.
Remember, these are BAD TEAMS we are playing thus far.

I never get to hear the coaches show but would someone please ask why he lets his best players rot on the f'ing bench?

He used to do the same thing to Hunter. He'd put him in the doghouse for no reason whatsoever.
It's the same story every year. Only this year we've finally started to see what Blaine's system yields without hitting diamonds in the rough on some projects. Terrible terrible basketball.
But guys.....it's been like this for YEARS. Our offense has ALWAYS SUCKED. It's just that we had crazy good offensive rebounding to make up for it.
We've NEVER BEEN GOOD OFFENSIVELY. EVER. We just always led the nation or were near the top in rebounding. We dominated second chance points.
Without those, people are seeing Blaine's offense for what it really is and really has been all the time. Terrible. We did this with Hassell, Baze, Lee etc. it's just that we dominated the boards so well that we got second and third chances and finally scored baskets and played better D.
This year, no second chances so the terrible offense is finally being exposed.

Might? I'd take Tony Mecurio over Nick....at least he wouldn't launch air balled 3 pointers and he would clog the paint for sure lol. At least he wouldn't get pushed around.

He also did the same with Neely. I remember in the Paradise Jam against Mizzou, Neely scored 20+ and single handedly gave us a chance to win and he spent the rest of the year rotting on the bench.

Good call. Neely had the ability to absolutely light teams up but because Taylor didn't like his defensive effort or whatever the hell other reason he might have given, he rotted on the bench most of his career.
Another example of Blaine's "philosophy" at work.
