I doubt it; we don’t plan on being in the NIT come March. 03-razz
That right, if you don't play better than you have to date, you will be sitting home, not enough win for the NIT> 04-drinky
RIGHT! Only having played 1 game and winning by 17 is absolutely pitiful! If you want to try the smack game at least make it something halfway believable!

Like your Tigers participation in the NIMT, the National Invitational Memphis Tournament. Oh you didn't hear, they renamed it over the summer for their annual participant!

My exact feelings too (including the WV reference).

Louisville, Cincinnati, and Memphis should always be in the same conference. We’re like the 3 musketeers!

I love having all these Memphis fans hanging out. They need to be playing us in all sports regularly and hopefully in the same conference.

Amen to that, bud.

Now I know how you guys must have felt, when Memphis and Cincinnati left the Cards stuck in the old Metro. That's exactly what's going on here, with us playing in a dead basketball league. It's pitiful. I HATE it!

Here's to hoping that all 3 of us will be back together soon. That way, I can thrown down the smack without feeling guilty. :D

ya'll...i'm dying reading this  ...but if this thread has proven anything to me it's that the Memphis - Louisville rivalry is alive and well...i see no reason why our schools shouldn't play.

i will say BOTH sides made some mistakes during the conference split...but i really think it's in the best interest of both our schools to play.

hope to see you guys in march.

Go Tigers!!!

You guys should just score 40 points in the first 15 minutes against Southern Miss, than tell your players to not take another shot the rest of the game (just pass the ball around for 35 seconds every possession) and play normal defense on the other end...and see if the Eagles can manage to beat you. I doubt it.

I don't know about that - Seems like every time we go down to Hattiesburg we lose.

Yeah but surely not this year! It'd almost for sure be the upset of the entire season and if you both continue in your current directions, probably one of the top couple upsets of the decade.

They already have 3 games where they only scored between 30 to 35 points! How often do you see a likely 25+ win team lose to a team that will probably finish up at something like 4-24!?

I honestly don't think Southern Miss will win 4 games this year. They might be the worst Conference USA basketball team of all time. And that's a terrifying thought.

Sounds like southern miss and USF should play each other in b-ball. The game would be hard on the eyes!

As far as who made the most mistakes during the conference split, that's easy. The Memphis AD might have cost you a shot a ever getting in the BEast. He really burned some bridges.

UL fans live in a world that is so far removed from reality that I'm convinced their skies are green. Big, horrible Memphis kept poor widdle UL from leaving early by sticking to the contract and forcing them to either pay the fee or offset the money by NOT jumping early. What a monster.

By the way, UC and Memphis played today. Memphis wins, but UC played them tough.

As I told Claw in the C-USA forum, I think you guys can pull things together and make some noise in the BE this year. Great game, and I wish you the best of luck through all of the turmoil. I'm rooting for you.

See you guys next year at the Forum. 04-rock

Thanks. The Bearcats took a hit this season and will be hurting next season I'm sure, but hopefully we will get a good coach (if Andy Kennedy does not get the job - I think he is a good coach) at the end of this season. Good Luck to Memphis as well. 04-cheers

You guys don't have a program that would hire him or is better than Memphis in the Big East.
