If there's any good news at all on the basketball court so far this season, it's the Lady Monarchs. It's looking like a better year so far for Barefoot. A win over VCU at the Ted on Saturday would be a fantastic way to go 3-0 on the season. VCU plays at Manhattan tomorrow, and they lost their road opener at Elon, 74-58.

Yes, with the way the ladies have been looking I'm thinking a VCU win should be very attainable. They are rebuilding with a new coach (their old one left to be an assistant at Notre Dame...), and a former ODU assistant , Niki Dawkins, is now on staff at VCU.
