ODU election ruckus?
Did anyone hear about mini riots on campus last night? Word on the street is (if they didn't cover their own reporters getting mobbed...) That about 150 students ransacked campus and larchmont and were NOT stopped by Police... The story goes they ripped down signs and broke glass, mostly minority students.

True? Ya'll be safe out there.

There were (seemingly a lot of) people screaming outside (I imagine the same happened after 2008), but that's about it.

Campus was not "ransacked" (I've been basically everywhere west of Hampton blvd. today)

They passed by my place, they just looked excited about the outcome of the election it seems. All they did was hoot and hollar and there was some police watching them. Although I don't live near Larchmont so I dunno.

My daughter is a freshman, living on campus and I can tell you that we received 3 calls from her during the night/early am. She basically was up all night with all the ruckus. She was afraid to come out of her room. The ODU Police blew off the incident as "freedom of expression" and said that it wasn't a riot and that they had officers on site the whole time and no laws were broken. Last time I checked, destruction of property, disturbing the peace and inciting a riot are all against the law.

Fortunately my kid's 8 and 9am classes were cancelled on Wednesday. I guess the professors knew the kids were up all night...
