Adding even MORE to the debt. Ushered in crony Capitalism as we've never seen before, and GM is STILL in f'n trouble. But if I were a banker or union boss, I'd be in high heaven. An average American that has to pay back all this damn money? Not so much.

You're using one month for your measuring stick on Obama's success? 03-lmfao

How about this, and I won't limit it to one month, 45 straight months of unemployment above 7.8%. 3 straight years of a 1+ trillion dollar deficit. A 16 trillion dollar debt (I'm assuming you understand this needs to be paid back, right? I mean, am I safe to assume that?). Gas prices 2.5 times higher than when he took office. Skyrocketing food prices. 15 MILLION more people on food stamps. For every one person that got a job, 75 went on government assistance. As for the DOW, wait, are you Libs now all for Wall Street? The DOW doesn't really have anything to do with who's in office as it's a global market. Those guys will do what they do. Namely, make money any way they can.

yeah, "I'm not saying Republicans can't come along, but they have to sit in the back of the bus". Obama didn't "work" with Congress, Prog; he circumvented them with several HUNDRED executive orders, more than all Presidents combined. He's governing like a ruler, and you Progs are more than happy to give him even more time and power. Hey, it's not like we don't have history to see where this is going.

Rebel is doing a great job of trying to interject partisanship into a thread about coming together no matter the outcome. Great work, you're a credit to the admins everywhere!

I will address two points, because I know that they are complete lies fabricated by the far Right. Gas prices sky rocketed under Bush and Cheney; not under Obama. We here in the North saw gas prices shoot up right after Cheney's secret meetings with the energy excutives back in 2001. I seem to recall the national price for a gallon of gasoline being in the $1.18-$1.30 cent range nationally when Clinton left office. From 2000-2008 I have lived in Illinois, California, Tennessee and Illinois again; during which time I consistently noticed that gasoline prices were at or over $3.00 per gallon in every one of those States. And the national average was at or over $3.00 per gallon during that period; and I know this because I was required to travel for my job. The Republicans blamed Hurricane Katrina; pipeline issues and any number of other lies for the problem, but the real issue was that two oil jackholes had stolen the White House.

Secondly Obama does and did work with the Congress. How do you think that the Bush tax cuts were extended? Now if you want to know why he is not friendly towards those bunch of butt clowns; then you may want to take a look at their ignorant rhetoric about him.

Pirate: There's a flaw in your first point:

Quote:Gas prices sky rocketed under Bush and Cheney; not under Obama

Yes, they did go up under Bush (early 2008): By February 2008, they did go up to $4.06. However by June of that year, they were back down to $1.86 (that's been noted on here a few times in avarious posts)

Quote: Now if you want to know why he is not friendly towards those bunch of butt clowns; then you may want to take a look at their ignorant rhetoric about him.

Say what? the rhetoric started with the "Car in the ditch", "Slurpees" and the "I Won, so they'll have to do what I want" comments that PBHO made.

Again, Extending the tax cuts is simply a "not raising taxes" argument... that's not a "tax cut' claim as the Democrats claimed... it was a "we won't raise your income tax" statement. Two ENTIRELY different preferences.

That'd be like you go to the grocery store, and eventually they cut prices of whatever you buy... and then decide not to raise the price.. "See, we cut your prices again!'... Uhm.. no, you simply didn't raise the price.

Obama didn't work with congress to extend a tax cut.. he fought with Congress and lost (to try to raise taxes). Remember, Obama wanted to end the extension and raise your taxes.
