What a line up...Someone feel free to add nBE season opening games as well.

I must have been living under a rock for the past few months. I had no idea there were multiple games taking place on aircraft carriers. Hell, maybe UC doesn't need to replace the Shoe. Let's just park a carrier on the Ohio River and call it a day.

A chance the Cuse/SDSU game moves indoors...30% chance of rain. I hope not. The city gets 7 inches of rain a year...please rain next week.

Anyways SDSU had all kinds of problems handling the zone vs Cal St. San Marcos in an exhibition. That should make SDSU fans shudder about the prospect of playing traditionally the best zone defense in the country.

Jacksonville, FL, not Norfolk.

SJU opens up on 24 hrs of BBall tuesday against Detroit at 2pm on ESPN.

It's a return game after we went to Detroit last season for the game they dedicated the court to Dickie V. Normally a H&H with Detroit isn't that attractive but when both are guaranteed to be nationally televised it isn't so bad.

Time for some payback! I was in Detroit when they renamed the floor after Dicky V and then thrashed SJU on ESPN...still pi$$ed about that one.

...and Cincinnati opens on Sunday against Tennessee-Martin. Such a let down in comparison to those games.

Yes Cuse lost to a Div 2 crosstown practicing m2m defense a few years ago...the point I'm making is if SDSU doesn't improve playing against the zone quickly it could get ugly.

The good news is Cuse's zone defense so far is not in top form as new kids are playing. SDSU will need to be careful with their passes, avoid sidecourt traps and they better hit their 3's (if they get tempted to shoot over the top). If they can get the ball into the top of the key effectively the zone will start to yield easy buckets. It should be a fun game to watch...and ultimately might forecast
