Not a problem. Obama will just bring in a lot of family members from Kenya. Problem solved.

RE: OFFICIAL THREAD OF ELECTION 2012....
Obama, just released a brief radio message from the Oval Office:
"Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this, America — they will be met.
On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.
On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn-out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics."

He must be speaking to people who forgot he has been president the last 4 years.

RE: OFFICIAL THREAD OF ELECTION 2012....
Please sum...don't interupt as the president speaks..
More from Obama's speech today...
"For everywhere we look, there is work to be done. The state of the economy calls for action, bold and swift, and we will act — not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth. We will build the roads and bridges, the electric grids and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together. We will restore science to its rightful place, and wield technology's wonders to raise health care's quality and lower its cost. We will harness the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories. And we will transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age. All this we can do. And all this we will do."
I am excited. obama sounds energized and full of promise. WE are off to a good second term...

Obama has just released his plans for the next 6 months.
Next week he's taking the family to Paris to celebrate for a month.
He'll come back and brief his staff the next week.
He'll leave the following week until the inaguration for Christmas vacation in Hawaii.
After he's inagurated he will spend 2 weeks going to China, Venezula, and Russia thanking them for funds.
The next 3 years will be a lame duck session.

RE: OFFICIAL THREAD OF ELECTION 2012....
Gdunn...please... no negativity on a glorious day like this.
Obama is still speaking and just added:
'What the cynics fail to understand is that the ground has shifted beneath them — that the stale political arguments that have consumed us for so long no longer apply. The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works — whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified. Where the answer is yes, we intend to move forward. Where the answer is no, programs will end.
And those of us who manage the public's dollars will be held to account — to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day — because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.'
I think Obama is refering to a new accountability! Finally! the reforms and budget cuts we have been waiting for. I think Obama's second term is going to be a breath of fresh air.

RE: OFFICIAL THREAD OF ELECTION 2012....
In OH GOP is saying there are equal or greater than Bush '04 in their counties.
Watch Buck's County PA. If Romney wins that he likely wins PA.
Numbers out of CO indicate Romney will take it. He lead after early voting and R counties are out performing '08.
Nevada is going Obama it looks like. Turnout is high in GOP counties but doesn't appear to be enough to overcome Clark county and the unions driving illegals to the polls to vote.

Some east coast precincts close in 30 minutes. I think this will set the tone for the entire election.

RE: OFFICIAL THREAD OF ELECTION 2012....
I wonder if we make it to 60 pct of the national vote today. We used to have 60 pct and upwards of eligible voters voting in a presidential election in the 1950's and 1960's but we haven't hit that plateau since 1968. It has shown an upwards tick since 2000 so that's good.
