Hospitality Room
Can anyone explain this to me? First year being season ticket holder? Is it worth a visit?

Attention ODAF Basketball Ticket Holders!
All ODAF men's and women's basketball season ticket holders are reminded that one hospitality room pass per game has been provided in your ticket packages for pre-game, halftime and post-game admission. Passes will no longer be stubbed and fans are asked to present the pass at the hospitality room entrances.

Great place to meet and talk to other ODU fans, plus grab a beer or soda before heading into the arena. They do have food, last nite's nachos looked pretty good. At the beginning of the year fun to compare notes. I always get a kick talking about the new players.

The sodas and water are free; and its the only place you can buy beer and wine ... soo ... yeah.

It can get very crowded though.

yea, only $2 per beer (Bud Light, Bud, Michelob Ultra, or Shocktop) and I'm unsure what the cost is for wine but they have like 4 different types. free sodas/water. and you can purchase hotdogs and chips there too.

@GilesFan,
To be clear, you have to be an ODAF donor. If you are you received passes to the Big Blue Room with your season tickets. Those are the passes/tickets being referred to.

I did not receive passes. I am confused about this email.

Supposedly Monarch Maniacs of age have access to the big blue room this year. I haven't tried it yet but don't be surprised if you see a bunch of students

That e-mail is referring to one of the benefits of contributing to the Old Dominion Athletic Foundation, access to the Big Blue Room. Passes to the BBR are included with donors' season ticket packages. The e-mail is specifically about a change in the format of the pass this year.

I'm going to attempt to insert a link to a list of the donor benefits.

RE: Hospitality Room
I just received an email from the ODAF guy. Says you have to donate $500 per year to have BBR passes.

That email should have specified that.

I see what happened here.
The email correctly said "All ODAF men's and women's basketball season ticket holders......", not "All men's and women's basketball season ticket holders....".
The big difference is the ODAF. It doesn't quite jump off the page at you in that sentence, but it is correct in directing the message to ODAF STH's versus STH's. It could be made more clear however.

No, it wasn't really correct. Not all ODAF members give at the level required to get BBR passes. You could give $100 and be considered an ODAF member, but you wouldn't get passes for the BBR.

So, what they're trying to tell you, not so clearly, Giles is: "Give us $500"

I guess so haha. I mean the bBR is nice and all, but its not really worth 500. I already donate that, but they really should have specified in the email.
