RE: Big 12 & Pac 12 may help BE get 7th Bowl
To be fair, BYU's demand to keep all their home games was a result of the uncertainty of the Big East's TV situation at the time.
The Big East and BYU are on very cordial terms. Not adversarial at all.
One of BYU's main concerns is "rebroadcast" rights.

Correct. That request was specific to a certain point in time. If the new BE contract comes in where I expect and if the new Big East carriers are willing to allow the BYU to rebroadcast games (which I think they certainly will), then that requirment will be gone. I knwo that there are those that still continue to say that BYU will continue to demand all of thier home game rights--I just think that they are wrong. I also dont think there will any BYU scheduing ageement where we share access to our bowls. There is absolutely nothing in such an agreement that benefits the Big East. The only way a scheduling agreement happens is if BYU joins in 2015 with Navy. Then I could see an agreement where the Big East helps BYU out in 2013 and 2014.
