It kinda makes me think that Frank works for Espin
Disagree Homer, he just provides his opinions from his perspective.
Are you telling me that ESPN isn't trying to destroy the BE ?
Also it my just be Franks Opinion, but it always seems he is protecting espin.

Some can say our opinions are skewed and protecting the Big East.

Are you serious? The top guys at the ACC and Big 12 have been publicly slamming the Big East for over a year. I'm not talking about a low-level clown in the conference office ... I'm talking about their commissioners!
The other conferences need to be hit hard and often. I want blood. :noisycricket:
I just can't believe what I'm reading here. Frank is nowhere close to being a troll. Frank has defended the BE in the past and will do it again. It really doesn't matter to me if he is right/wrong in this specific case, and he's entitled to his opinion. The face that NJRed has defended Frank should speak volumes. He isn't here to get a rise out of folks. I view him as one of the most highly respected members of the entire Network. I think y'all need a thicker skin.
Wow. I was looking at the ratings and it sure looks like even the Mac looks better than the BIG. You can say that it does not include OSU, which I will admit, but do not mention PSU.

I believe Frank is one of the most logical, reasonable posters on these boards. But to say it's ok for the other conference commisioners to publicly insult the Big East, but our conference leaders should keep quiet, well .... I strongly disagree.

Managing public perception is one job of the conference office. I don't see a damn thing wrong with what Carparelli said. What he stated is true.
If you want to criticize Carparelli, then you should have criticized Neinas, Bowlsby and Swofford, too.

True, but we need to hurry those perceptions along. I don't have a lot of time to wait around.

But you're not calling him a troll like some are. My post wasn't directed at you in any way.

I agree. Frank knows I respect him, and even like him, at least what I know on the internet. He absolutely doesn't troll, and I think he simply says what he believes. And he is unfailingly polite, no matter what is thrown back at him.
And Joey, all of us are a little defensive about the nBE, b/c we get slammed publicly so often, by almost everybody. the press, the big conferences, and the midgets, too, lol.
But the constant reality check does get old some days, and there is nothing wrong with coming back at him. The only problem is, some in here are unnecessarily blunt.
To Frank's everlasting credit, he deals with it and hangs in there, but he even gets on my nerves sometimes, lol.

thats my point exactly, the more positive brought to the light of day the faster the change

I never called him a troll. I won't back off of how I feel about his posts either, but not once did I call him a troll. However, I won't allow my point to be muddled in labels either.

Of course we need to get a thicker skin. Why else would we not like a Big 10 homer here telling us how great The ACC is and how much The Big East sucks. Thanks for setting us straight.

Really? SMH
Dude, you've been here for a month. How do you know who a troll is?
Ordinarily I like to read what Frank posts so that I don't drink too much koolaid and keep my feet firmly planted. He's sobering, yes, but not a troll. But in this case he is wrong. The Big East needs to fight back instead of being everyone's punk. At all levels. Thanks to the ESPiN blowhards who have gone unchallenged these past few years everyone now thinks they can take a swing at the BE and get away with it.
Like Aresco says, those days are over.
Exactly! + 3
Aresco has mentioned multiple times that his #1 job is to make those teams that have left or will be leaving the Big East Conf soon to REGRET their faithful decision.
I like that in a Commish...one who is willing to fight for what is RIGHT!

But you see...in Frank's elitist sports world...that's ok...but heaven forbid if a Big East Assoc Commish sends out a positive tweet about his own conf and future conf...and dares to compare it to the mighty "elitist" ACC.
Only those that Frank personally approves (ESPN, ACC, Big Ten, SEC, Big 12, Pac-12, etc...) can take shot after shot after shot after shot at the Big East...but if ANYONE from the Big East dares to even "tweet back", you can bet that within mins/hours, Frank will rush to the scene to protect his faux friends and idols.
