What's happened to UConn's football? Weren't they decent at one recent time?

From 2007-2010, UCONN went:
2007: 9-4 (Big East Co-Champ with 5-2 record)
2008: 8-5
2009: 8-5
2010: 8-5 (Big East Co-Champ with 5-2 record)
Even with that 4 year stretch...some at UCONN wanted change...but Edsall beat them to the punch and bolted to Maryland right after UCONN's BCS Bowl Game following the 2010 season.
UCONN hired former Syracuse Head Coach Paul Pasqualoni and things haven't been so great.

That was a tough loss for Pitt. Could be 5-4 with a Win vs. #3 ND.

List is probably long of teams that were a few plays away from a few more W's.....sometimes the ball/calls bounce in your favor...sometime they don't...and when they don't...you always hope you have a big enough lead that busted plays or calls might cost you a game.

UCONN football never been this bad before. I never thought I would see this day. I am just waiting for UCONN to get rid of the current coach at end of this season. If it takes UCONN to lose remaining games to do it, I am willing to wait. Current UCONN coaching staff other than our DC is just out of the sync with the current college football atmosphere.

Or USF could not choke last week and Cuse could easily be 3-6. It always goes both ways.

USF could be in first place in the BE..as all their BE games were close.
Cuse hasn't been blown out in any games...all 5 losses were close.

I'd agree Cuse hasn't been blown out but have to disagree on claiming all losses were close.
You were close to USC to start the 4th quarter, but were down 19 with 10 minutes left and never got closer than 13 the rest of the way, losing by 13.
Against Minnesota the Cuse were down double digits almost the entire 2nd half and were losing 17-3 until they scored with 46 seconds left to make it a more respectable 17-10 loss.
As for the conference losses, you lost by 8 and 11, but I'd agree they were close. I know all about the details of both games regarding yardage, turnovers, etc, so no explanation is necessary. Other than NW, the Orange are not losing games in the final minute. However they did score with 3 seconds left to beat USF. So to recap Syracuse lost a game in the final minute, won a game in the final minute, and has four losses by 7-13 points. There are dozens of teams with a lot of losses in the 1-2 TD range.

in the usc game we also had the ball down 5(21-16) with a chance to take the lead. against minnesota we had several mistakes in the redzone
