RE: Looking bleak
looking bleak or bright depends upon one's political leanings and persuasion.

Other than all the negative attack ads so commonplace emanating from most all candidates and superpacks, the one thing I find most troublesome compared to many Presidential elections in yrs past from 1960 thru Dubba Sr is this.

There seems to be so much hostility and disdain held from among voters, pundits and talking heads for the candidate not of your choosing.

While American politics has often been ruff and is not to be considered a non contact sport throughout history, we seem to have reached a new low in political tolerance.

Is Illinois in play? I just saw a Crossroads PAC ad(Karl Rove's PAC) while watching the football game on CBS. Not sure if it was local or national ad though.

Yep, people are finally giving the flamethrowers from the last 30 years a taste of their own medicine. Still a long way to go though.
