Basketball Exhibition Thoughts
First of all, I know it was Aurora and you can't take much of anything out of it, but when you consider we lost to Carthage in our exhibition last year, winning 89-56 was a nice change.
Nader and Nixon didn't play. That's concerning, especially Nader. Not sure what's up there.
I really, really liked Baker's first step and his vision. He got in the lane on the first 3 possessions and he had 2 assists from it. Wasn't as impressed with Balls, but he certainly didn't look out of place out there.
Mader is a 5. He's not a stretch 5 either, he's an in the paint 5. He had 8 points and 8 boards.
The Grey's both looked really good. They were a combined 9-9 from the field and Keith Grey had a double double in less than 20 minutes.
Springs is an athletic wing man. I think his decision making needs improve, but he looks like he has talent.
Bowie is another athlete, but he's more of an around the rim athlete than Springs.
I thought Mike Davis did some nice things as well, he seemed to be getting to the rim. Wasn't bashful about putting up shots either.
Biggest concern was 20 turnovers to only 15 assists, but that is going to be a battle all year long.

Decent rebounding tonight, but again we were playing AU. Will be interesting to see what happens as the season goes on. I have a good feeling about this team.

If I want to buy that 10 tickets for $10 deal when I come up for the Toledo game, can I do that at the Convo?
