Whomever called the idiotic pass play on first down after the late interception should lose their job. That was awful.

I don't think tonight was ND's best effort of the season, but they did was a Top 5 school does and that's find a way to win. Not every game is going to be pretty.

Oklahoma has 3 loses with these games left. Baylor, @WVU, OSU, @TCU. They can easily have 4 or more loses this season.

Michigan has 3 loses and still has to go to Columbus.

Michigan St has 5...FIVE loses.

USC has 3 loses and if ND beats them then thats 4 loses. (Don't forget about their trip to the Rosebowl against their rival UCLA and a possible rematch with Ore.) They could easily have 5 loses.

Miami has 4 loses and still has to travel to Duke and a possible ACC CG rematch with FSU. 5 or more loses is very possible.

Pitt is 4-5 with a loss to Youngstown St.

Purdue has 6 loses.

BYU has four loses.

Stanford is their best win. They only have 2 loses, but they still have Ore St and @ Ore. Could end up with 4 loses as well.

They haven't done anything earth shattering. What we thought looked like a really tough schedule actually isn't so tough. Their next two games are against a horrendous BC and an average Wake Forest team.

Oklahoma? You left them out. They are 7-2. So is Stanford. Oklahoma was ND's best win.

Michigan is 6-3. USC is 6-3. Navy is 6-3. A lot of others have winning records. You can go through most every team's schedule like this.

Most teams play three scrimmages called "FCS games". Do you knock those as well?

ND is about a year away from being a national title contender.

They are being led by a redshirt freshman QB with 8 starts under his belt. How good will he be in a year or two?

ND is 17-3 in their last 20 games and 21-5 in their last 26 games. Kelly is building a good, solid program.

Kelly has a good foundation built and may have ND very good and in the hunt for the next few years.

I have been telling everyone all season that I am not worried about the BCS Championship game at all and am just enjoying the ride.

Right now, ND is 9-0. Who thought that would be the case this year?

Right now, ND is #3 in the BCS, #2 in recruiting (Rivals) and #1 in football graduation rates.

What is not to like? I will take it and am enjoying this wild season (ND's best in 19 years).

I was wrong OU does only have 2 loses, but they still have the hardest part of their schedule coming up. Baylor, @WVU, OSU and @ TCU. They will have their hands full.

No one plays 3 FCS teams and only one counts towards bowl eligibility.

No they don't play any FCS teams but they do have BC and Pitt. (Pitt got blown out at home by a FCS team.)

Yes Michigan is 6-3 and after going to Columbus they most likely end the regular season 8-4. WOW...8-4!!!

USC is 6-3, and if you want to go undefeated they will have at least 4 loses as well. Now if they win their division and play Ore again then thats a 8-5 team. Wow...8-5!!!

They are having a good season, my point was just that their schedule doesn't look as daunting as it did in the preseason.

Every team that wins a NC gets a lucky break or two along the way.

Georgia's Lindsey Scott play in 1980
Miami won a couple on wide rights by fsu
Nebraska 5 downs vs Mizzou
Tennessee had three or four miraculous gifts in '98
Bama's Mount Cody blocking UT game winning FG in 2009

The list goes on and on. Those are just off the top of my head.

For everyone who says this is just another typical Pitt choke job to show your disdain for Pitt - try being a fan of this team. It ain't easy.

I have no love for the Irish. That's just my personal stance. I will however state they have one of (If not the hardest), hardest schedules in the country this year. They have gone 9-0. Very impressive. 01-ncaabbs

Yes, I will publicly state that Pitt sucks but, that's between some friends and myself. (They grew up in the Burg and I in Cleveland. Natural Steelers vs Browns rivalry). However, Pitt came in that game primed for the upset and it was a good game to watch and was hard fought. 04-cheers

Props to ND for staying the course. I still think their a bunch of pampered mommas boys. 03-nerner They are playing some solid ball.

As I pointed out, it's not as hard as it looked in the preseason. UM, USC, MSU, BYU, WF and Miami will all have at least 4 (or more) loses; while Purdue and BC are almost guaranteed of a losing season.

So? How often do teams go 9-0 against any type of schedule?

ND is not going to in the championship game.

It is a great accomplishment for ND to go 9-0.

Okay once again, COMPARED TO HOW THE SCHEDULE LOOKED IN THE PRESEASON IT ISN'T AS TOUGH AS ORIGINALLY THOUGHT.

That was my point. I didnt say it wasnt a great accomplishment, but the schedule isn't as great as originally thought.
