I thought it was reasonably fair. He picked us second in the East.
For someone that doesn't follow our team it would be easy to see our lack of shooting on a stat sheet last year. Price really came on at the end of the season and probably our best two shooters were injured with Kaspar and Dickerson (although the stat sheet might not show that).
Not bad guessing on stAte, but no research. Here is what I've gathered from listening to Brady and the players.
Townsel has been moved to off guard, to come off the bench and spell Finn and Hooten. Brady considers that it a luxury to have a guard on the bench who could "start for half the teams in the Sun Belt." Hyperbole or not, it says something about stAte's depth, which was virtually non-existent last year, as we brought a "6-4.5 freshman football player" in first off the bench after having to dismiss Adams before the season started. Not sure if Malzahn will let Grizwold play or if it depends on possible bowl game timing, but Griz was at practice Wednesday watching them work out - he has stated he wants to play.
Brady has implied that the starting point guard position is Cam Golden's job to lose (rare for Brady to anoint a freshman so early on), so he obviously thinks he really has a player there.
This will be the deepest and best team Brady has had at stAte, and he's so confident he's changing the offense to let the guards have much more freedom to create.

What made you think he doesn't think much of us? The line that we were the least deserving entrant or the line about a fart in a hurricane.
Quote:--Speaking of WKU, the NCAA tournament's least deserving entrant at least got its young team some experience last year. That baptism will serve this year's squad well, but it won't be worth a fart in a hurricane if the Hilltoppers can't shoot better than 39% from the floor.
He wrote...a lot. Im not really feeling that South's top/best marque non conference matchup is freaking Tennessee State? Sounds like he expects us to shoot low.
Ed Turnover Townsell will not be the starting point guard at ASU this year. He's got legit talent for an off guard position, with occasional minutes at PG. Full time, he is a walking 1:5 Assist to turnover ratio.

I know. I mean Florida State won the ACC Tourney last year and finished in the top 15. They're not more marquee than Tennessee State? Lol
The writer has absolutely no idea what's going on at ULM.
Richard's going to be here for quite a while. He's already turned around the academic side of the program to where our next APR report will be sparkling and the NCAA has already cleared us on scholarships (Keith's holding a couple back right now). And the fans at ULM are being very patient with him because we knew this was no quick fix. The goal this season is to get up to and past the 10-win mark. We do that and we'll be happy for this season. But then it's got to be better in 2013-2014 on the court.
GSU has a young team. But, we have a junior PG who was selected Preseason 2nd team All CAA and a Virginia Tech transfer who is now eligible (may be our best player). In addition, we have a pair of 3 star Freshmen who have cracked their way into the starting line-up.
