That generally happens if you keep hitting them late, and getting away with it. Congrats on your win.

Good game FIU. Thought ya'll were gonna win it.

BTW, surely you're not calling that hit a late hit. If so, LOL.

How many close losses has FIU had this year? They are definitely better than a one loss team...

It looked like the Western Ky players were the ones acting like thugs to me at the end of the game.

Yeah, that explains why your coaches were pushing players backward, the hilltoppers wanted to take the scenic route to their lockers, right?

It was a hard fought emotional game for all the players, lets not make it out to be more than it is.

Actually, the camera only showed the WKU players as they were going to the tunnel and our coaches trying to get them to move along. The cameras never showed the FIU players following our players into the tunnel or what they were doing to rile up our players. I'm sure there was mouthing going on for both teams.

The camera did make it look that way. Until you realized fiu was on the opposite end of the field from their locker room.

Good luck in CUSA. They'll need to get their attendance numbers up.

BTW, we only had one roughing the passer penalty. Sorry you couldn't protect him better.

scenic route? I'm pretty sure the Pantherettes were the ones heading toward the wrong freaking endzone at the end!

End of the game, everyone should be shaking hands, which side of the field is off limits during that ritual?
Teams can be gracious in defeat, they can also be gracious when winning. Let it go guys, you straight up beat us tonight in our house. Congrats again.

You won yet you seem pissed. Why is that? You didn't score enough? Didn't get enough yards? The game messed with Jakes' efficiency?

You won, enjoy that tonight, don't take the scenic route around the board. 03-lmfao

Both teams have a lot of players that know each other from HS (either as rivals or teammates). It was a hard fought game that wasn't decided until the final play. I don't fault either side for having a few guys that were a little hot headed after it was over. Luckily the majority of the players and all the coaches on both sides made sure nothing came of it.

On the late hit stuff. WKU has seen a lot of opposing QBs get injured this year. It has all been from clean plays. Our defensive gameplan is to get pressure on the QB, so hits are going to happen. I am pretty sure Medlock got hurt by his own guy trying to keep a WKU DB from swipping at the ball as he threw. Just one of those freak things. Good luck the rest of the way.

Agreed freshtop, football is an emotional sport especially when you are in the middle of it.

I think it is a little too late for us. 03-banghead

Thanks! I just hope it isn't in Detroit the day after Christmas. That is a tough one to get the wife to understand.

I wasn't trying to start this.... Oops just wondering but we didn't hit the qb late at all except for the hands high on the roughing which they called...

Another tough, close loss for our team. That's the way it's been this season and the way it is going to be the rest of the way for our team, unfortunately. Congrats to WKU on a hard fought win.

Ironic. Considering a unflagged late hit by FIU cost us our QB for the season. In the realm of uncalled for hits on QBs FIU has no room to talk.

Not sure what happened after the game (didn't see it) but WKU hasn't been the ONLY chippy team on the field this season. Let's not get that confused boys!
