OXFORD, Miss. - Despite a 19-point performance from senior center Jasmine Watson and a strong first half overall, UMass women's basketball fell on the road at Ole Miss, 71-59 in Tad Smith Coliseum on Saturday afternoon. Watson finished 9-for-15 on field goal attempts while freshman guard Rashida Timbilla chipped in 10 points and four rebounds, with each coming on the offensive glass.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Unable to overcome an early deficit, the UMass hockey team dropped its final game before the holiday break, 4-2 at #15 Yale on Tuesday night at Ingalls Rink. The setback leaves the Minutemen at 5-9-2 overall, while the nationally-ranked Bulldogs improve to 7-3-2 on the season.

AMHERST, Mass. - The UMass hockey team tallied its fourth win of the season over a nationally-ranked opponent, handing #11/9 Boston University a 5-1 loss at the Mullins Center on Friday evening in front of 7,267 fans, the 15th-largest home crowd in program history. With the win, the Minutemen improve to 10-12-2 overall, 7-9-1 in Hockey East, while the Terriers fall to 13-10-1, 10-7-1 in conference action.

Junior Michael Pereira tied a career high with a four-point night, contributing two goals and two assists, his first multi-goal game of the season. Linemates Branden Gracel and Conor Sheary chipped in with three points (1g, 2a) and a goal, respectively. UMass' top line of Pereira-Gracel-Sheary totaled eight of the Minutemen's 14 points on the evening and now has 31 in nine games when paired together.

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Charlotte men’s track and field team took home the conference title after scoring 190.5 points, while also breaking four A-10 records. Runner-up Rhode Island finished with 166 points.

Rounding out the standings was Saint Joseph’s (78), Butler (68), La Salle (60), Fordham (58), VCU (52), Temple (34), Massachusetts (28.5), Xavier (21), Saint Louis (15), and Richmond (9).

PHILADELPHIA - The UMass women's basketball squad was unable to overcome a strong shooting performance by Saint Joseph's on Wednesday evening, falling to the Hawks, 87-50 at Hagan Arena. Freshman guard Jasmine Harris led the Minutewomen with 11 points and classmate Adriana Jordan notched a single-game career-best 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the floor and a 2-of-4 clip at the foul line.

BOSTON - Boston University scored a pair of goals in overtime to pull off a 9-8 win over the No. 14 UMass women's lacrosse team on a rainy and windy Wednesday afternoon at Nickerson Field. The Minutewomen had a chance to tie the game in the final minute of overtime, but a turnover allowed the Terriers to run out the clock for the win. UMass will return to action on Saturday when the Minutewomen host Iona at McGuirk Stadium.

The loss drops UMass to 3-2 overall on the year, while Boston University improves to 1-0 overall. The one-goal decision marked the fifth-time in the last eight games of the series that the outcome was by two-or-fewer points
