RE: Official Tuesday Night Football thread
One of ULL's players had some great quotes in an article today about how ULL was actually better then we were last year, an d were better this year as well. Apparently, our guys were listening.

"It carries over a lot," starting cornerback Jemarlous Moten said. "We kind of owe them from last year, because we thought — well, we know — we were better last year. Even this year we know we're better."

Love the white out, but I will be real curious what the announced attendance will be. I got a feeling there is going to be a lot of attendance smack for this one, just like there was for UNT

Both of those pictures aren't at the peak of attendance. A lot of people come in during the 1st quarter and many Cajun fans left during the 3rd.

ESPN did a good job with camera angles. Definitely looked better on TV...

I take it you didn't see the ULL fans in the attendance for UNT thread? Its going to get ugly, mark my words...

Rule change from about 15-20 years ago. TD scored on final play you don't get the try if it making it or having a turnover returned by the defense won't change the outcome.

We had it come up in a Big West game, scored TD on the final play giving us 2 pt lead. We tried to decline to try the PAT and officials made us because a blocked kick returned by the defense would have tied the game so we took a knee at the 33. Oh did I mention we got two celebration penalties after the TD?

Was that the Nevada game in 1993?

RE: Official Tuesday Night Football thread
Heres some numbers with ASU vs TROY vs UL that was posted on GTT.com thats kind of interesting

Offensive yards against ULL-
ASU: 526
TROY: 588

Yards Allowed:
ASU: 450
TROY: 389

Turnovers:
ASU: 0
TROY: 3

Takeaways:
ASU: 5
TROY: 0

Points For:
ASU: 50
TROY: 24

Points Against:
ASU: 27
TROY: 37

What happened to ULL's rush D? 2 games in a row (ASU/NT) they have allowed over 240 yards rushing. We could only scrape up 60 yards and FIU only had 55!

Man, I wish we could have caught the Cajuns later in the season. Probably would have beaten them the way their playing now.

A lot of yards allowed to ULL came late in the game on the two last drives. ASU was playing a little soft to keep the ball in front of them and try to force ULL to eat up a lot of clock trying to score. Also the last qtr and a half we ran 27 straight running plays to end the game and melt the clock.

Not quite. Asu against UL would have smoked Asu that played WKU

That is true, because they are getting healthy for the first time since the Oregon game( especially some key starters like Stockemer and Mitchell), they had no key players suspended (Q. Lee), and all those impact freshmen are getting adjusted to playing FBS football.

Malzahn said after the UL game that he felt the light was about to come on with this team, and they should, barring injuries or suspensions, get better each week from here on out, and be pretty good at some point.
