Not a surprise. Pitt didn't really want him and the offer was a favor to his HS coach who is in his first year at the school.

Yea, RB's aren't a pressing need at this point like the Lines are.

My post was meant as a joke (sarcasm). They need a RB in this class but OL and DLs are more important at this point.

Perhaps I can help since VT is coming from the same place:

"RBs are not a pressing need for Va Tech since we're always behind and passing all the time".

See how much easier it is to detect the sarcasm there? 03-banghead

How about this one - he just wasn't Pitt "material."

Yeah, VT recruited Jadeveon Clowney too... but he wasn't Va Tech material, either! 01-wingedeagle

RE: Corey Clement decommitts
Well, I am one of those guys that think this is a blow to the class. Does it mean that Chryst is a terrible recruiter and that Pitt will have a crap class this year? Of course not. But, this kid was very good running back and would have done great at Pitt. Also, for those who post that this is good because it will get us Shae McKenzie (this is the big time PA RB for next year, right?), you need to get real here. I always believe in the saying that "a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush", so I'd rather cinch up a good quality RB commit this year instead of hoping to get a better one next year. We lucked out last year by getting Shell the year after Huggins opted for Rutgers, but that won't happen all the time.
