Alot of times, the losing team has better passing numbers because they are playing from behind and need to catch up quickly. Where as the winning team is comfortable balancing things out because time is not a factor.

The tackling and on field presence of the players have improved. I saw players converging on the ball carrier every time. The hitting has improved. We were up 31-6 midway through the 3rd quarter. Towson was only down by 11 at half. It's not like they handed the game to us. Count me in as being giddy about the defense.

Coach Wilder is flat out wrong. It would have mattered. Having a time of clock eating RB like West would have not only helped them score more points, he would have helped them keep drives alive and keep our offense off the field.

To say West not playing would not have mattered is absolutely absurd. He has as much affect on the game for Towson as Heinecke has for ODU.

He had 80 rushing yards and 2 rushing TD's against LS freaking U. Against JMU he had 22 carried and 112 yards.

To act like his presence on the field would have made no difference is ridiculous. He is a guy you absolutely have to gameplan for. So by taking him out of the equation, it allows us to focus more on stopping the pass because we don't have to respect the run QUITE as much.

Anyone who thinks that A. West couldn't have changed the outcome of the game or that B. our defense problems are solved is absolutely kidding themselves, Bobby Wilder included.

Don't sugarcoat the problem, FIX IT.

There is no way in hell Terrence West has as much of an impact on the game as Taylor Heinicke. The QB is by far the most important position on the field.

Terrence West 538 yards rushing, 8 td 4.6 ypc.

His backups:
Booker- 152 yards, 4.2 ypc
Phifer- 132 yards, 4.9 ypc

You can replace running backs in football. If we lost Heinicke, we may not win 5 games.

You are right......Heinecke is more important....but West is by far the biggest weapon on that team, just like Heinecke is our biggest weapon. And when you consider how piss poor our run defense has been all season long, yeah, you can make the case that not having West in that game was just as much a loss to them as not having Heinecke would have been to us.

He is the reigning CAA POTY and he absolutely torched us the last time we played and that was back when we still had McClam and Cameron. To act like the game would have gone pretty much the same even if West was playing is just silly.

Thankfully for us, none of that matters and we got out of there with the W!

...and more of the aftermath.

Sour grapes or falsified practice logs?

And on another forum they are whining about how our band played the ODU fight song in front of their student section.

This could lead to some sort of investigation. Feel bad for the solid Towson fans like Andy7171, the team is markedly better than in year's past, but this appears to at an unacceptable price.

Now Towson players are accusing Ambrose of falsifying practice logs.

Yeah, Dr. T heard about the whining, which lead to this response on Twitter.

Nice. Treviño is great. I was really impressed with the band at Towson. The trombones were on point.
