Well, of the so called big win upsets in the league none of those teams currently have a winning record or even a 500 record for that matter. Miss St is undefeated so it might be a bit much to expect a win there.

So far we have only played one good game all year where we played well in both halves and that just happened to be the GT game.

Any OOC win is big no matter if the team has a losing record or not. If you check the top 25 you will see 5 or 6 of the teams haven't beat a team with a winning record or more than one team.

I believe you may have missed the point. Miss State appears to be a better team (record aside) than any the Sun Belt has beaten so far, so this will take our A game to have a chance to win.

MT can beat Mississippi State. The Bulldogs are very good, but their strong point that helps them win is their ability to get the big plays. They will pass the ball for 5 yards, run the ball for 3 yards, and all of a sudden they throw a bomb for about 30 yards.

Troy couldn't stop the big plays. Troy was able to get nearly 500 yards of total offense against them though. MT has the firepower to do the same thing.

We will be playing in Starkvegas with their $EC refs, so it'll be tough with the phantom holding calls that Sun Belt teams always seem to get.

If you guys played against mississippi state like you did against WKU you would have won against them. WKU coaches knew that Troy was prone to penities and had the wku players getting ino the heads of the Troy players (that's par of the game)....Troys staff needs to get that corrected and Troy will be fine

I thought it was the reverse actually. I thought Troy came out trying to take WKU out of it's game by being the more physical team (which Troy did). I think that they couldn't turn off that intensity after the whistle and that is what they need to work on. I don't know that we did anything to increase the penalties against them, if anything it was the reverse because we retaliated quite a bit, offsetting the penalty that was called.
