Starting Lineup
As much as I like the size of Chad, I don’t believe he will be in the starting 5 at the beginning of the season. I hope that I’m wrong. Some big men can really develop over a summer.

I watched Will Perdue transform into a beast over the summer prior to his junior year. He went from averaging 8 minutes of playing time as a sophomore to 30.4. His scoring went from 3.5 ppg in his sophomore year to 17.4 ppg in his junior year.

I would like to see Chad do the same thing. And, I fully expect him to develop into a fine player during his time at BU, but I’m still not expecting him to be in the starting lineup for the Lipscum game.

Here is my prediction for the starting lineup (assuming Drew does not play this year):

Trevor Noack
Blake Jenkins
JJ Mann
Ian Clark
Kerron Johnson

It’s a little on the small side, but fairly athletic. What is your prediction?

Apparently, there is still a chance Drew could play this year. While I haven't seen him play, my expectation is that he would start at the 5 if he's eligible. I doubt Chad would start for the same reasons you mentioned, but he'll likely play significantly more than he has so far. Otherwise, I agree with your starting 5. Hopefully Blake has worked on his defense this summer as his offense was coming together at the end of the year.

It will be interesting to see if the style of offense changes any with the smaller lineup. Maybe even more motion with no real post presence and even higher tempo.

If Windler can play, it could be a major, major difference for the season. We are extremely vulnerable to foul trouble underneath without him. Here hoping this can be the case!
