Good point. However, I truly can not fathom being this low in football three years from now.
Memphis is a good place to recruit. Having to compete with SEC teams puts you guys in a tough spot. With that said in 4 years Memphis will be a bowl team. Memphis has too much to offer.
But so does Army, Fresno, and UNLV. So why stand up when they are mentioned and proclaim they are **** when right now you are no better?
That is my point.

Many teams in the US have gone through high and low points in football. Look at Duke, Northwestern, Syracuse, Army, Penn State, etc.
Memphis can turn its football team around. There's plenty of time to do so. Until then, their basketball is great and they give us access to a new market. I welcome them and look forward to watching them improve over time.

Without Calipari their basketball is good but will never be a national or tournament factor again.

Please link an example that shows the fan base acts like that. We do have a four year home on home basketball with both Boise and San Diego State to help them out.

Don't worry Tigers, this BSU fan knows your ship is turning and it will just take a few years of development to right things.
Best of luck the rest of the season!

I got a warning for telling the truth. Nice.
Oh well. I guess if you all want some respect perhaps you al should respect Navy and if they get in Army and Air Force. They would beat you all's tails anyway.

Truth? You were asked to point out who you have beef with, yet you continue to bash all Memphis fans instead.

This thread is about Memphis football, not Boise State basketball.
Actually this thread is a shot at Memphis by the OP. Not sure why he has an axe to grind with Memphis.

RE: Pirates bending the Tigers over........
WTR, the only things I can remember are some of us saying the service academies have limited ceilings, and don't move the TV needle, so other teams would make better choices. What is so bad about that?
We don't have to be great in football to have that opinion. And we aren't the only ones in here who have said that. What, does that mean DePaul and Providence fans can't have opinions about what teams to add, too?
Memphis wasn't added for football, in case you weren't paying attention, and I don't remember anything in our contract saying we couldn't have an opinion about who else to add in FB, so kindly chill. You seem to have a burr under your saddle about Memphis fans, in general.
And I brought up basketball just to point out that different members bring different strengths to the conference. Just b/c Boise is good in FB doesn't mean you can dictate who else in here has an opinion about it.
Dang, man, no wonder your own fans chastise you about stuff you post, and people show up in your driveway to fight you.

You have lost your mind. That's the mindset of Tennessee, Kentucky, or Ole Miss fans who are more scared than anything. But nowhere near true. In fact, we have MORE talent on this year's squad alone than what Cal ever produced at one time in his entire 9 years at Memphis. Adonis Thomas is a hoss for a wing player and a true NBA lottery pick. At 6 foot 7 and a bullish 240 lbs, he's somewhat of a baby Lebron James. Tarik Black and Shaq Goodwin, both 6 foot 9 and 260 lbs, will be among the best front court duos in the country this year and next year. Black is a junior and Shaq is a true freshman and former McDonald All American. Jackson (also former McD) and Johnson (#1 ranked JUCO player last year) will be the best guard duo in the country. Geron is already getting comparisons to former Tiger Derrick Rose. Our bench will be the deepest in the country with 5 legit reserves capable of starting on many of the top 40 teams in America. Pastner is growing into the type of coach Memphis fans were hoping for. Keep in mind that he's still very young for a D1 coach at 37.

Speaking of Kentucky, talking with UK fans, some of the Luster is wearing off with Cal as many now feel He's His own legend and not UK. Many feel these high powered recruits could care less about UK and just see it as an E-Ticket to the NBA in one year under Cal. Whom will return for the Big Blue Madness in a few years from these teams ?

Did it really take them this long to figure this out? DeMarcus Cousins was a Memphis commit and John Wall was a heavy Memphis lean when old Johnny Hair Gel took the Kentucky job. They didn't end up at Kentucky because they had an affinity for horse racing and Ashley Judd.
