10/6 CAA Game Thread
I know the consensus is to look forward toward the CUSA, but it's a bye week and I'm bored...
Brown @ Rhode Island
I'm taking Brown. Rhode Island is having an awful season.
Towson @ James Madison
What a matchup. I'll take Towson simply because that's who I want to win, but Harrisonburg is not an easy place to beat the Dukes.
Maine @ Delaware
Delaware underwhelmed many by getting blown out in New Hampshire, but they're still not a bad team. I think Maine is having a down season, so look for the Blue Hens to come away with the win here.
William & Mary @ Pennsylvania
Both W&M and Penn have lost to Lafayette this season. W&M lost 17-14 at home, while Penn fell 28-21 on the road. That puts these two teams pretty darn close. With the QB situation starting to figure itself out for the Tribe, I'm going to say they squeak by Penn, but this could go either way. Just shows you how far W&M has fallen in two years.
New Hampshire @ Georgia State
Georgia State isn't winning a game this year. Period.
Richmond @ Villanova
If you're not sure how to judge Villanova, watch this game. Some think they're back to being one of the league's best, while others like myself are a bit skeptical. I don't think they're as bad as they were last year, but then again I don't think Richmond is as good as our defense allowed them to be in the fourth quarter last week. I'll take Villanova in a close one.

RE: 10/6 CAA Game Thread
Brown @ URI 27-20 URI works hard to remain winless in order to maintain the integrity of it's 'showdown of the winless' with Georgia St.
Towson @ JMU 31-20 JMU RB DeQuan Scott; will he play? In any event he likely won't be 100%. The offense is suspect without him, and Towson has a very good defense, both run and pass. Additionally, if DB Titus Till doesn't play or is not 100%, look for Enders to make some yardage passing long. JMU defense may be the best against the run in the CAA, but they play soft underneath pass coverage. With just enough West to keep JMU honest, look for Enders to march down the field with ball control short to medium passing.
Edit:
Both tale of the Tape(JMU 24-19) and Atomic (JMU 26-22) have JMU winning by a small margin this morning
I am still going with Towson (31-20) because of Till and Scott.
Maine @ UD 17-34 UD too much for a "down"(east) Maine on both sides of the ball.
W&M @ Penn 21-14 William an Mary continues it's record setting streak; at 2 games. but it may be very close. W&M defense carries the day.
Edit:
I heard that Ortiz may not play because of concussion symptoms. If that is the case the game is a toss up.
Richmond @ Villanova 31-24 UR just a little too much for a vastly improved Villanova. Andy Talley is one of the best coaches in all of FCS, and VU at home, so it will be close.
UNH @ GaSt 52-6 Really? Georgia State is really going FBS; and not DIII or NAIA?

Brown @ Rhode Island
The Rams continue their slow trudge forward to their Game of Destiny with Georgia State.
Towson @ James Madison
Bridgeforth is a hard place to play, but Towson managed to play a respectable game at Tiger Stadium of all places. Battle of the running games, West vs. Scott or whoever is next on the JMU depth chart. Towson takes it in a close one.
Maine @ Delaware
Hens haven't been playing great, but they'll still be able to pull out the win against a slumping Maine squad.
William & Mary @ Pennsylvania
QB troubles or not, I think the Tribe can pull through against the Quakers.
New Hampshire @ Georgia State
GA State dropped the ball, dropped every game so far, and now they're going to drop money on students. Wildcats by a demoralizing score. Rhode Island awaits them in this year's CAA Game of Destiny.
Richmond @ Villanova
This one will be closer than Villanova wants, but our friends from Philly do what we couldn't and shut the Spiders out in the 4th. 'Nova by ten.

Rush defense, yes. Their pass defense is very porous.

JMUSports the link will open an audio feed but if you look to the right there's an option for video. It's been working well for me

I think we'll make both defenses look much worse but also make both offenses look much better

Not impressed with either team. Towson bet their whole season giving LSU their best game and will never be the same and JMU just isn't very good. If we bring our best game, we beat both these teams by 2-3 TDs.

That's a big if. Chances are we bring our best for half the game to keep it interesting.

Let's remember that we gave up 30+ points to this same Towson team at home last year. It's not that Towson or JMU are that terrible. They both play good defense. Something that I wish ODU did.

I'll spot Towson 30 and maintain we should still win by 2-3 TDs.
