The defense is really impressing the people at the practices. Word is Patrick Willis has gained a lot of weight (muscle) and is nothing short of a freak of nature. Jamal Pittman is also drawing high praise from CEO for the offense.

From the reports I have seen - and to my dismay - Michael Spurlock is looking the best in practice so far with Lane at a close second. Word is a lot of rust was shaken off today and the timing of the qb's was much better. Stay tuned to see how this one plays out.

Wait and see. Spurlock looked good at practice last year too. It wasn't until he got into a real game that he got the "deer in the headlights" look! :eek:

I think it's nauseating that Lane isn't doing better with his passing. I just hope he gets more 1st team reps so that he can get his timing down. I think he will be our guy.

I THINK THAT LANE WILL BE #1 QB WHEN THE SEASON STARTS. LANE SEEMS TO BE ONE PLAYER WHO DOESN'T PRACTICE WELL, BUT REALLY IMPROVES WHEN THE GAME COUNTS.
