I haven't paid very close attention to the 2014-25 Bowl/Playoff Plan. Is this an accurate summary?

Before the talk of adding a 7th bowl, there were 6 bowls which, over a 12-year period, would serve as semifinal games 4 times each. Those 6 are:

Rose
Fiesta
Orange
Cotton
Whichever city wins the Champions bid (looks like New Orleans which means the Sugar Bowl becomes the Champions Bowl)
Chick Fil A/Peach

When they do not host Semifinals, the following are "Contract Bowls" with no at-large access:

1. The Rose will be Pac 12 highest available vs. Big 10 highest available
2. Champions/Sugar will be Big 12 highest available vs. SEC highest available
3. Orange will be ACC highest available vs. choice from Big 10/SEC or Notre Dame

When they do not host Semifinals, the following are "Access Bowls" filled by at-large teams**:

1. Cotton
2. Fiesta
3. Chick Fil A/Peach

A selection committee will determine the seeding for the semifinals, and the at-large bids for the Access Bowls.

The new 7th bowl game will be bid out to a city and will be more like a Contract Bowl. It will match the highest rated conference champ from the Big East, C-USA, MWC, etc. vs. another team. Initially, it was reported that the opponent will be contracted from the Big 12/Pac 12 but recent reports suggest that the opponent could be at-large. Unless I read it wrong, I do NOT think the 7th bowl will be in the semifinal mix.

** - Just because there are 3 access bowls, don't assume there will be 6 at-large bids available every year. Because in most years, 1 of those Access Bowls will be a semifinal. And some years, 2 of those Access Bowls will be semifinals. When an Access Bowl is a semifinal, it reduces the number of at-large bids available by 2.

don't think it'll ever be 2 access bowls hosting the sf the same year.
from what was reported, the 7th bowl will host sf some.
if 7th bowl gets an at large team every year, we'd be looking at 5 at large teams a year. This number gets reduced if conference champ does not make the playoff and their home bowl hosts a sf that year(and not in Orange Bowl).
Orange Bowl reportedly pushing back trying to get some flexibility.

For someone who claims to have not been paying attention, you went into a lot of detail and have some serious opinions.

That said, show me a link to where the 7th bowl is now more like an access than a contract bowl and not in the semi-final mix? Cause everything I've read from AP, ESPN, and CBS has said otherwise - unless it changed today while I was in class.
