Making people miss is part of the game. Think of how many missed tackles our offensive players cause. The same statement "a lot of missed tackles" can be made (even more so) of our opponents. The DLine has tackled well; the LB's have been average to above average; and the DB's (especially Ward) have been solid. I may be wrong but with the exception of the Army game, I think we have tackled well as a team.

Agreed that the tackling has been much better than recent NIU defenses.

With that said, if we can somehow tackle for the rest of the year as efficiently as we did against Iowa, we won't lose again.

Watched the second half. This game will go down as the "Battle of Inaccurate Quarterbacks". Lynch did not have a good day throwing the ball. And we were lucky Radcliff missed so many open guys downfield. Hitting a couple of those could have made a big difference in the game.

There was a 17 mph wind which might have had something to do with the problems both teams had with the passing game. You NEED to have a running game to compete in DeKalb in Oct and Nov. I think that the Huskies are finding one.

RE: Game Thoughts
if you ever watch the flags in the two end zones at the same moment, they are often conflicted....wonder if the IPF will have any impact on re routing winds from N, NW and W ?....and might the new scoreboared play a new role in winds swirling in HS endzones ..?

Actually, we do both have a week 2 opening in 2013.

Our game for that week would most likely be home since we have week 1 and 3 away and the MAC office would likely not give NIU 3 away games in a row.

Unfortunately for WMU that would put your first home game in week 3.

I personally love that WMU seems to spend months worrying about the wind in Dekalb. no other team in the MAC publicly mentions it 10% of the time that the Broncos do.

It's so far into their head that Cubit blames the wind on their inability to figure out the zone read.

Exaggerate much?

I wouldn't confuse me with coach Cubit, or our entire fan base.

Pretty sure he didn't blame the wind in this one...

If you insist on twisting the knife, at least be accurate with your assessment.
