Fatinikun is not eligible for a medical hardship waiver, according to research conducted by @UT_DerrickB. Thus, his career is over.
That's the type of thing that just makes you sick. Feel bad for a guy that talented and that worked that hard to come back this season. I'm not sure what the NCAA based their decision, but sometimes their decisions don't seem fair.

Never mind, I just read the article. That's what I get for watching a fuzzy ESPN 3 signal with the sound off. I thought they were saying he was ineligible from his injury last year.

Fatinikun played in five of Toledo's games, so he is not eligible for a medical hardship waiver because he played in too many of Toledo's games this season. There's a standard rule that you have to play in less than 25% of the games. At this point the NCAA has not made a decision because no one has applied for a waiver. But given the rule it probably makes no sense to try because the rule is pretty black and white.

RE: UT-WMU game thread
As I was leaving the game last night, I witnessed two college age wmu fans apologizing to a man near the Toledo section. I'm not sure if the man, silver hair and brown leather jacket, was a Toledo fan or not. But considering the tone of the conversation, whatever happened was not good. The two wmu fans were apologizing but I have no knowledge of what happened.
As a bronco fan, I always hope that we are good hosts even during defeat. I am sorry if there was a bad experience.
Congrats on a good win.

You guys are always great hosts and MAC comrades. Unfortunately, there's always somebody who can't control their emotions or their consumption. It sounds like you had a couple good fans trying to address the matter. Hope it wasn't anything too serious.
