What is more amazing is that it is 10 times as much as it was this time last year. So pathetic.

as bad as it is.
it's not as bad as it would be if you had some uk goobers talking and someone asked them how they think western will do...or their conference would do. they still think we're fcs.
well.....they did think that. no....they still think that. you should have seen their board after we beat them.

for the Razorbacks job, but Malzahn isn't?
I really hate that . . . :D

Its easy to explain why they are a candidate...its a lot easier for Arkansas to hire Willie Taggart then it Gus Malzahn.
Hiring Malzahn requires they acknowledge our existance...hiring Taggart requires they acknowledge the success of the WKU program which beat a team not named Arkansas out of the SEC this year.
Same story with Hudspeth.

I think if Hud wins he could be a target, as could Dykes, Taggart, Malzahn and Cristobal.
I personally think Hud tries to get Mississippi State, but, we'll see what happens.

I would be surprised if Taggart or Hudspeth make the final five. Both are young coaches with thin resumes at this point and the Arkansas money people want a name coach from a Top 25 program. Arkansas is not Ole Miss, they won't be left standing with very few options.

Ahh yes, but Jeff Long has botched every hire since he's been at Arkansas that hasnt fallen in his lap.
They almost hired Tommy Bowden as head coach a few years back before Petrino called and said he was interested in leaving Atlanta.
Throw in Long, a fanbase that is known to throw any coach it doesnt like in front of a moving bus, and a strong good old boy network that exists within the states political structure, and you have a job that can be very difficult to hire for.
I wouldnt be entirely shocked if a group of Boosters wasnt already quietly pushing for Malzahn or Hudspeth.

Who's talking about Blakeny? Nobody. Blakeny to a better job is like talking bowden or paterno to the NFL anytime in the last decade. Could it potentially be a beneficial move for both sides, sure? But in reality it's not really a wise move for either side.

RE: What? Hudspeth and Taggart Candidates
Somebody kill me now...
If HUD goes somewhere it wont be till the season is over. He has alot of asses to kick with 9 games left in the season.
If he goes, we just plug in someone else. At close to 1 mil a year, there are any number of bad ass assts out there waiting to come to a dynamic, progressive hotbed like Lafayette.
I'll go back to sleep now...
ZZZzzzzzzz

The UA program is a 747 with four engines on fire.
They are going to hire someone for around $4 million that will convince people to stay on the plane.
