I beg, did you remove the FCS wins and losses?

Clearly, C-USA is better off and suffered no damage to their TV contract.

Hooray - no exit fees!

Actually exit fee's are separate from the TV money.

Of course he didn't. He probably didn't remove the NAIA win for UTSA either.

However, I DO like the fact that UTSA beat 2 Slumbelch 2.0 members.

Tech doesn't....unless you consider UTSA and Texas State FCS

We don't, either... although Akron may as well be a FCS team.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a new team come in and win CUSA. FIU could continue to bring the championship to Florida. 05-stirthepot04-cheers

RE: Defectors 3-10...New Additions 9-6
lol. This thread is such a fail.

Keep trying to make yourselves feel better by attempting to deflect the fact that only 2 out of the 12 C-USA teams have winning records: UCF and Tulsa.

There are three winless teams in C-USA that are STAYING in C-USA. Face the truth!!! This conference sucks this year!!! Quit trying to make the best out of it by taking out your Big East frustrations against three under-performing teams. Look at yourselves in the mirror before you throw stones. All that talk about that amazing NFL USC defense that held ECU to 10 points yet you guys only mustered two field goals against UNC. Let me guess. They have a Super Bowl championship defense?

Stop it with these immature threads. Good Lord.

I agree that this thread is dumb, but new additions 0-6? Didn't UTSA beat South Alabama of the Sun Belt and Louisiana Tech beat Illinois, Houston and Rice? Didn't FIU beat Akron? There may be more, just going off the top of my head here...

pointless to have this conversation when it changes from year to year. Last year Houston and Southern Miss were on top now look at them. Tech started last year 1-4 and are on a 10 game regular season win streak

History Lesson:
2005 CUSA added new programs.... UCF, SMU, Marshall, Rice, UTEP, and Tulsa

Tulsa and UCF won their divisions and played in the Inaugural CUSA Championship Game.... the new guys were the best the league had.

Will History Repeat 2013?

I agree. The thread is pointless as I'm sure anybody involved with any of CUSA, nBE, Sunbelt are all already tracking on all this. CUSA is struggling as well as the BE newbies. The MAC and Sunbelt have stepped up. The incoming CUSA schools are playing well prior to entering the league next year. Got it. The question will be............how long does it last for any of those schools or conferences good or bad. Bottom line though is............we're ALL still considered 10 pounds of crap trying to fit in the BCS 5 pound bag.

RE: Defectors 3-10...New Additions 9-6
Well...my point was that as much as everyone is talking about how bad CUSA is...CUSA is changing next year. It is adding two teams from the WAC that are currently unbeaten (albeit that UTSA has an easier schedule) and two teams from the Sun Belt that have long term potential.

And its losing a winless perrenial cellar dwellar in Memphis, as well as a transitional member in Houston that is winless.

UAB certainly showed well in losing at Ohio State (as well as UCF actually) and we all know that UAB is typically one of the worst in the league. Tulane has its issues, but with a new stadium and some nice recruits coming in, has promise for the first time since Bowden left. Rice went on the road and beat Kansas.

I think the demise of CUSA is being exagerrated greatly...we have four leaving and four coming...its a transitional period. And the record certainly reflects the toughness of the schedule CUSA plays OOC....especially on the road.

I'm not going to go out on a limb here and say no. Best bet would be FIU v La Tech....but the likely scenario next year has Tulsa playing ECU in the champ game. I guess you can say you heard it here first.
