Bronco start-up
Understand that the team has played a number of split-team scrimmage games. I don't know if these are "open" to the fans. Has anyone seen any of them or have any other info.? Dying for "current" team activity info...following stories on new recruits, arena changes., etc. barely gives "lack of hockey" syndrome any relief!

I think they have all been open to the fans but with a lack of advertisement, no one ends up knowing about it. i know my parents have been to all of the scrimmages. i'll see what time this weekend's scrimmage is and post it here.

Would be cool if your parents could bring us up-to-date. Some ideas on line make-up, level of play, anyone showing exceptionally well, etc.

My dad said the only things that stood out were: Cichy looked really good and this doesn't help, but the alumni looked really good as well. He also said it was hard to tell about judging anything because there wasn't a lot of hitting and the speed of the game wasn't quite the same i.e. a typical scrimmage. Maybe there will be more on the team after this weekend's scrimmages if someone else goes.

The NCAA does not permit advertising the scrummages. Word of mouth has been the only way to find out about them.

Next thing you're going to tell me is they limit how much cream cheese you can give your players to put on their bagels.

Meanwhile, Cam Newton's Dad got $200,000 to send his son to Auburn.

Heaven forbid....I believe that if the team provides the cream cheese....or peanut butter for the bagel....it now counts as a reportable meal....stupid but typically NCAA. Again, Heaven forbid anyone should tell anyone about scrimmage games!

It is really silly. Last year we had Western's Compliance Officer at a Blue Line meeting. We heard a few of the ins and outs. What it boiled down to is don't do anything without checking the rule book.

Correct, but I was mostly saying that my lack of advertisement when I do know of something going on. Since I don't live close enough to drive to kzoo anymore I don't think of putting something up here that is common news to me and insider news to most.

I still have yet to hear about saturday's event. All I know is it'll be later than 7 according to my insider.
