For once, I can agree with a poll top to bottom. WKU broke the SBC glass ceiling. More to follow...

This has to be a mistake. We lost to Alabama 35-0, beat a bottow dwelling FCS team, barely beat the worst team in the SEC, and beat the worst USM team in their history. Well at least that is the preception for a lot of fans outside of the SBC at least.

Congrats! ULM was #22 in that last week. Now one of us has to break into the two real top 25's.

It is just the CBS Power Poll, not AP or USA Today. I think we are good, but can't put us Top 25, yet. We are 3-1 and record of teams we beat, combined 1-10 I think.

We will know a lot more about WKU after next weekend's game with Arkansas State.

All us sun belt teams know the importance of something like that. We all compete against our in state schools that are in the power six conferences and usually ranked and it's really hard to grow our fan base without doing something Extrordaire. This year if WKU does somehow become ranked it would be HUGE!! Since we beat UK which seems to be the state of Kentucky adopted team, we could possablly convert some of those 50/50 fans to full time toppers and bring in some new fans from around the state like Louisville has over the years.

We'll learn a lot more about the entire league this weekend. I believe WKU is the best team in the league...Id love to beat them and prove them wrong though.

Arkansas State and UALR has Arkansas to compete with
La Monroe and Louisiana has LSU
South Alabama and Troy has Alabama And Auburn
Middle Tennesse has Tennesse , Vandy
FAU has Florida state , Florida , Miami , USF
Georgia State has Georgia, Georgia Tech
Texas State and Texas Arlington has Texas a&m , Texas, Texas tech, Huston
WKU has UK and Louisville

If someone had said that a couple of years ago when WKU had a 2-10 record and MT was 16-16 (in basketball) I would have declared them insane.

Last time I checked WKU had the best basketball program in the league. Also the defending conference champions. Don't worry you've still got women's basketball.
