Why are there three threads on this same thing cluttering the board? Most are just posters talking smack. Looks like it belongs on the smack board to me... or merge them!!!

Troy may very well win but even that won't hide the lack of objectivity being throw around.

So you performed well against a LSU team that ran a very vanilla offense and a base defense set? Color me shocked. You really think LSU gave you their best shot?

Only the foolish ascribe meaning to money games.

Troy by 3.

Only because we beat Troy in week 2. As we already hold the tiebreaker over Troy win here puts some distance between us and NT.

RE: Troy@UNT Part 2
wait a second.....i want to be clear on this.

we don't want to deal with any 'arrogance' out of unt fans?

i'm really glad there hasn't been any set of fans that defined the word arrogance.

i'm glad there's never been a group like that before. i prolly wouldn't exactly love those folks.

so i get it now.

arrogance isn't an issue when it is deserved, but UNT hasn't earned the right to be arrogant. Their hotty toddy attitude is totally based on the fact they are moving over to C-USA, which isn't any great feat.

Any guesstimate on how many Troy fans will attend the game? Will the Troy band make the trip?

I heard the Pep band will be there, no idea how many Trojans will make the trip. I have a one year old, so I definitly will NOT be in attendance. I'll be watching the Troy win on ESPN3.com.

I think you have a great point.....certainly I hope we win......and certainly you hope you win........THAT is why we play the games.....I actually hope you go to CUSA and win it out right next year and this year I respectfully hope you lose your arse.........except to FIU...and then I hope you both lose.......

I have no objectivity at all when I say GO TROY and ASU and FAU and Louisiana and USA and ULM and WKU.

RE: Troy@UNT Part 2
I think people need to take a deep breath here, there is no need to get indignant over predictions, especially in a game in which the line is less than a field goal according to most betting lines. I could see people rolling their eyes at UNT fans if Troy was favored by 30 or I could see UNT fans feeling like most are only picking Troy due to some grudge over realignment if UNT was favored by 30, but the fact of the matter is, Troy is favored by 1 and hook to 2 points according to most sites I've seen. Should be a good game.

I'll be arrogant. It's ridiculous that Troy fans are just blindly thinking they have a better offense than K-State.

Well, I don't have any proof that it is...we haven't taken very good care of the ball. Statistically, we are better, but don't have anything to measure offenses against. We will tomorrow, though...it'll be a small sample set, but the green meanies will be a good measuring stick to see how well TROY's O compares to k state's. 03-2thumbsup

So, you had what, one season of good attendance and are back to crap? When have you ever had a sell out?

You hit 30K once. We sold out Fouts (very hard task, mind you) versus Baylor. You've never pulled in 40K, the New Orleans Bowl doesn't count, kiddo.

How is that surprising? Most SBC fans on this forum are holding a grudge against NT for leaving.

I think most reasonable fans understand North Texas' attraction to cusa and the Mean Green's desire to play more teams regionally. I wish you guys good luck once you leave...

until then...

I hope for a multi-over time game with troy barely winning...

Cajun field record is over 41K; we have had over 30K 9 or 10 times. Do a little research.
