How do you think the game will play out, and what do you think will be the final score?

RE: Troy@UNT Score Predictions
IMO it all depends on the turnovers in the game. Troy has had a rough time with turnovers, so if Troy continues this trend then it will be a close game with NT probably pulling out a win. If Troy fixes those issues then I think it will still be a good game, but with Troy winning. I don't really care about the points I just want Troy to win, and I hope both sides players stay healthy.

RE: Troy@UNT Score Predictions
I would have said north Texas a week ago, and both teams seem to be coming along nice. But I think Troys defense will come together and slow down Norh Texas, this will be a close game from start to finish with Troy pulling out a 34-28 win.

Troy wins this unless they turn it over a lot. Troy appears to have one of the better rushing attacks in conference and they have one of the top QBs as well. I say Troy by 14 as well.

Troy is really fifth in the league in rushing and the difference between the two teams is 28 yards. So don't act like North Texas is that much better

Nobody is "acting like" anyhthing. Just pointing out the the Mean Green are not exactly toast when it comes to our running game.

Or the fact that the UNT rushing game has done that against the likes of LSU and KSU..

God I am glad conference games have started. I got a feeling that this game is going to be real interesting. I am most curious about how the Troy OL and DL stack up against UNT. I know the UNT OL has received accolades from both the LSU and KSU coaching staffs in post-game comments and so far have passed the eyeball test against TSU. Curious to see if it is just coached speak after not being able to get consistent pressure on DT or they are actually that good considering their relative youth.

UNT hasn't "done that" against LSU and KSU, they rolled up 350 yards on Texas Southern. The same Texas Southern program that lost 83-10 to ASU a few years ago. The performance against KSU was not bad and of course it wasn't good against LSU.

UNT appears to have a talented RB but I think Southward is better. Troy hasn't played a "cupcake" yet to pile up rushing stats.

I think UNT is improved and Thompson is a good QB. I just think Robinson and Southward are the better 1-2 punch in this game. Of course, if Troy turns it over like they have been then it won't matter.

LSU - 76 yards
Texas Southern - 352 yards
Kansas State - 145 yards

As was said ... not so much against LSU and Kansas State

Well, the first one is expected. Who else would have ran up yardage on LSU's defense?

Troy and UNT have played similar opponents overall. An underrated #23 MSU is probably about as good as an overrated KSU. LSU and TXSO average to be about what UAB and Louisiana are. Troy hasn't played a team as good as LSU nor have they played a team as bad as TXSO.

Also, and this is important: How well SBC teams play against the big boys doesn't mean a whole lot when it comes to SBC play. Both MSU and KSU coaches and players have said the week leading up to our games was unfocused. Dropped balls and lack of motivation through the week. Big teams don't prepare for us the same way they prepare for their conference members. So scoring 21 on MSU or 21 on KSU seems awesome, but we'll have to see if it translates to conference play. It would be different if we got their A's games (like Oregon gave Arkansas State) but I don't think we did.

Troy has played no one as good as lsu&a&mc@br and no one close to as bad as Tx Southern. I agree that MSU and KSU are comparable..

Troy wins by 14.
