Memphis had zero turnovers at ASU and only lost by 5 on the road.

Memphis had three turnovers at home and basically handed the game to MTSU on a silver platter.

Regardless of the two scores, ASU is a much better team than MTSU. The Blue Raiders just played us on a night when we couldn't hang on to the ball. If we had played like we did last week against ASU, Memphis wins tonight.

I just love thinking back to the reaction of their board to this series, originally a five game series later lengthened to 7 to accommodate their moving a game back in order to play Louisville.

First their was outrage that the series was even signed, but at least they knew they were going to beat us a few times and buy out the remainder of the non-competitive series. Then their was more outrage after they lost the first game and more outrage still after their AD agreed to the 2 games added after the 2008 game was pushed back. Then in 2009 some of their fans had a more realistic view, but as the game neared more and more started talking about them running all over us.

In 2010, Memphis won in what was the ugliest football game I've ever witnessed in person. The tide was turning, they were making gains with Porter and the series was back on track, ready to dominate us and buy out the rest of the series. Then they lost in 2011...and here we are again in the afterglow of another MT victory over Memphis.

2007 @ Memphis MT 21 Memphis 7
2009 @ home MT 31 Memphis 14
2010 @ Memphis Memphis 24 MT 17
2011 @ home MT 38 Memphis 31
2012 @ Memphis MT 48 Memphis 30

Here we are five years into the seven year series and it's MT 4 Memphis 1 and despite the fact that both of our programs are in the crapper right now, we ended up with the largest margin of victory in the current series.

Thanks again MTSU!!! I love to hate TOGC though. You would think with a dumpster fire football program that embarrasses itself on a game by game basis Memphis fans would just shut up and keep themselves scarce. Not TOGC.

It's funny, I was jawing at someone, I'll have to go back and look to see who, but someone when picking the most likely to win this weekend picked you guys first and us second. I did pick you guys to lose, but thought you were our best shot for an upset, but I just couldn't see how anyone could think you were more likely to beat a SEC team than we were to beat the dumpster fire of a program out in west Tennessee. At the end of the day, we were the only two to win...
